Thursday 12.12.02
12:33 PM
UCD computer lab

***
Days until Christmas: 13
Days until Christine's birthday: 10
Days until White Elephant: 9
***

Current mood / state of being: Excited to have finished finals, tired from the lack of sleep, and frustrated that I'm stuck on campus because I missed the bus.
Weather outside: Colder than a mothereffer. Beanie, scarf, gloves - check, check and check. But I'm still cold?
Pains in my: back, from sitting on this computer chair for so long
Not stressed about: school. yay for christmas breaks
Stressed about: getting prepped and organized for the quickly approaching lacrosse season. Opening game day: February 8, game site TBA. That's in 57 days!
Hot list: Oregon basketball, blue elephants, Boyz II Men's "Christmas Interpretations" (always a holiday classic), hot chocolate, lacrosse (no really, cmon lacrosse is so in right now) and everyone who still checks this
Way cold: that damn j-lamo song, finals, physics, my apartment, and everyone reading this but still not writing
Luke-warm: MLS (because nothing's really going on and they're toying with my emotions by delaying the whole Donovan deal), and JC Chasez's new song ( do I like it, does it suck? tough call right now)

20 more minutes til the bus gets here.

*Phil sits at his desk after a emotional roller-coaster day*

Today was my co-worker Roselle's b-day.. for those of you who don't know... she basically is my sidekick at work... we act pretty much the same... like the same things and also play on the same v-ball team... we spend more time with each other than our own significant others... anyway... I was trying to do payback for my b-day in which she posted a picture of me eating cake all over the company on my b-day which I thought was pretty embarassing... so I decided I had to do the same... so basically after getting her fiance's contact info as well as figuring out one of her sister's e-mail address, I was able to retrieve a picture of her back when she was 16... Not only was it a young picture, but it was HYSTERICAL.. she look like she was laughing so hard she was crying.. anyway it was basically her 1st drunk expereince so I thought it would be great to post it up within the dept (company rules now forbid b-day postings around company walls)... anyway basically spending an hour last night and hour this morning (I got to work at miraculously at 7:15 a.m) I decorated her desk...I basically put her picture everywhere (e.g. under her calculator, on CD covers, on her screen, inside picture frames, in binders, on 12,3,6,9 spots on a clock etc) unfortunately when she got there... she was mortified.. not only did she start tearing down the pictures, she started crying... I couldn't believe it!! To make the long story short.. it was a bad memory to her and hit her hard... she said that if it was any other picture it would have been fine.. but how I was supposed to know? I was only using the picture that her sister (who Roselle now hates) gave me.. but anyway...

Lesson learned: before you use a picture figure out its context... (however the prank was still funny)

Also, just wanted to let everyone know I got my 1st own x-mas tree.. woohoo.. W/ some garland, silver ornaments, and some personalized ornaments... I have almost completed the decoration of the tree...

Also.. I just purchased my white elephant gift... I think you guys will like it... I think... anyway I know someone will want it that's for sure =)

Ok hope to hear from you all soon...

*Phil takes a break from "ratchet clank" his newest PS2 game to post his weekly weekend-recap blog*

Hi all,

Anyway hope all of you are having a happy holiday season.. Mine is going so far so good... anyway just wanted to let y'all know how my week/end went...

Friday I really did nothing but sit around and vedge.. I have yet to feel the clubbing/partying urge that us 20+ something year old should be having by now... the fact that I only go occassionally means either a) I"m too tired from work to go on a regular basis or b) I don't like clubbing/partying regularly... I'd have to go with the first one... work just tires me out... that's all I think about the whole day... I guess it's a good thing considering I don't fall asleep at my desk b/c I'm so busy every single minute of the day... but getting back to the weeeknd..

Saturday I did major shopping. However, I decide to accompany Mr Ariel to our hair stylists.. He decided to get some copperish-reddish whatever you call it highlights for his hair... Now I told him I didn't want to go at first b/c I thought it would take long.. however, he coerced me into going. I decided to call one of my berk friends to hang out with while he was at the haircutters... after staying about an hour at my friend's house, I left to go back to pick-up Ariel (thinking he'd be done as well as the fact that my berk friend had to leave to go apt-hunting)... Anyway I come back to find Ariel sitting on a chair waiting for the color to settle in his hair. I"m like "SEE I KNEW IT WOULD TAKE FOREVER" and all he could do was smile.... I was so impatient... after all that... anyway...so I decide instead of sitting there for another hour I decided to go buy myself a car charger for my new phone... (which by the way has improved my reception in my condo by 100%) so all you people who call me at home know that's an improvement... Anyway by the time I get back, Ariel is just about done getting his hair done.. TOTAL TIME AT THE STYLIST: 2 AND A HALF HOURS!

Ok, so now I'm in annoyed mode b/c I have spent 2 1/2 hours killing time while Ariel colors his hair so we decide to go grab something to eat at Carl's Jr in Alameda.. There, I found that they were selling Giants Bobbleheads (more specifically Nen, Aurilia, Shinjo (oh sucks cuz he ain't no more giant) and I forgot the last one... and a 2002 giants game ball... so of course, I had to buy one and got the ball... Oh and before I forget, I just received my 2002 Barry Bonds commemorative 600 home run bobblehead... =)... I just have to share that the one thing great about it is that it has a manual counter so you can adjust it for everytime Barry hits another home run... ain't that somethin...

Anyway after eating, Ariel and I did some major shopping at Mervyn's.. yes Mervyn's.. I bought some toss-pillows, a kris kringle gift for Ariel's group of friends... and lots of socks... I spent so much I got a $20 giftcard for the next purchase for this week... =) After going to Mervyn's.. Ariel and I decided to go to BR and GAP to use our friends and family card (compliments of Christine) and yet of course... I bought tons of new work shirts as well as a nice woven sweater... TOTAL DAMAGE: $100 (which includes some stuff Ariel bought), so it wasn't TOO bad...

OH and check this out we go to Blockbuster to buy some DVD"s and there is a buy 2 get 1 free deal.. so we decide to get 3 dvd's all priced 12.99-14.99 how come the guy rings it up as $2.99 each.. what a steal.. how lame is he... what a sucker.. but what the hell better for us..

Anyway I haven't got to Sunday yet but I dont' want to bore you all.. if you want to hear how my sunday went (which includes a "I"ll never forget moment" pls sent a reply back. =)

Ok talk to you all later

Friday 12.06.02 (Days until Christmas: 19)
12:18 PM
UCD Computer Lab

3 new blogs since my last visit! That's definitely a record. Still MIA: Regan, Jeff, Nick, Anup, and Michelle. Come out, come out wherever you are.

Another reason why I love sports: the Maryland-Indiana game on Tuesday. Classic. I can't believe we're all older than these players now. Since soccer's on a brief hiatus, college hoops will have to be the filler until the MLS season gets rolling.

It's official. I've been named the head coach of the UCD club team that I played for these last two years. So come January to May, it's off to lacrosse land once again. I told myself last year that I was going to take a break from everything and not do anything lacrosse-related. Well that idea only lasted a good three months and now I'm up in the mix again. If anything, it'll be good experience for me to coach at the college level. And it fits perfectly into preparing to set up my grandmaster plan of establishing a lacrosse powerhouse at USF once I return home.

Weekend Plans: Study, study, study. Physics is kickin my ass, so I need to buckle down and hit the books to prep for next week's finals. On a brighter note, yo tengo un A en mi clase de espanol. Si, si, es muy bueno.

Hasta luego!

So Ed, Tiff, and Nick (the prankaholics)

Let us know the latest pranks that have occurred.. those seem to be very interesting from what I hear... What's everyone's plan for the weekend??

Anyway get back to me when you can...

Hmmmm, let me think....good pranks? I've got a few up my sleeve.

For starters, I'd break into somebodies room and rearrange and decorate all their stuff while they're on vacation. Make sure you use pink as your primary color in the redecorating process. Then I'd take all their boxers and maybe even all their shoelaces and hide them. But I'd be careful with pranks like that because I'm guessing the person you do it to is gonna look for some big time payback.

MUHAHAHAHAHAHA

Hey I think I'm missing a shoe lace.

**tiff sitting at her desk eating a doughnut**

hello all! that is, if we still have lurkers around. i'm back...please hold your applause...hahahaha. it surely has been a while since i've blogged. i found new friends...yeah right. the last time i visited blogland was when i was about to leave for boston. dang, that's a long time! anyways, i had a great time in boston. but the funniest/scariest thing that happened to me occurred while i was flying across the country en route to boston. i had a whole row to myself so i was sleeping sprawled out...SWEET. but i woke up in a cold sweat and felt all nauseated so i went to the bathroom. got to the bathroom, closed the door, and i BLACKED OUT. i woke up on the dirty airplane bathroom floor. holy christ, i felt dirty! so i got up, washed my face, and i passed out AGAIN. yup, woke up again on the nasty floor. so i got out of the bathroom from hell and the flight attendant asked if i was ok. i guess i made such a HUGE thud sound that they were worried. they ended up giving me an oxygen tank to revive me. oxygen never felt so good! so that was the most memorable thing that happened to me on my boston trip. boston was great too!

i've also been gettin adjusted to my new job. its pretty chill and the people here are pretty relaxed. can't really complain. still trying to find my way around but i'm just gonna take my time.

~thanks tiff for hosting another successful thanksgiving potluck. ambiance was excellent and all the dressed up company was even better. thanks again for hosting and letting us "compliment" Kalua. sorry i missed out on taboo. i heard jefe and michelle were the all-stars of the game =)
~congratulations to phil on your best game ever in volleyball! sorry it didn't help with winning the championship. but you will tear another hole in them next season! ouchie!
~what i want for x-mas: peace on earth and goodwill towards me (did you get that ed? goodwill!), a car that isn't a tin can, a jp tod's bag (retails for $1,200!!!!!), new wardrobe, a house, a non-profit job that pays a gazillion dollars - i guess all i really need is a job that pays a gazillion dollars! all i REALLY want is for everyone to enjoy their holidays with their friends and family.
~another question for everyone: do any of you know of any good pranks? please submit to me via email =)

if any of you lurkers have a chance, post some blogs. we would love to hear what's going on with you. just like how you guys and gals love to hear from me ...heehee =P

Phil returns home from an exhausting final playoffs game... For those of you who don't know.. I've been in a Mervyn's v-ball league for 3 season now... first season we won the championship, second season we lost in the finals.... this season we weren't sure where we would fair... with half of last season's players returning and several new faces... we fought hard... finishing 2nd (10-3) in the regular season we got a forfeit in the 1st round... tonight was semifinals and finals... Our semifinal game was a 3-set nail biter... luckily we picked ourselves up from a 3rd set 7-2 deficit and overcame to win 8-15 to go to the finals... Our final game, however, wasn't so lucky.. After taking the early lead in both sets.. we gave up our lead by beating ourselves and lost the championship for the 2nd straight season... oh well... by the way, Sylv, Michelle, and Ariel all came to watch me. THANKS GUYS FOR COMING.... anyway I hope to get some more practice for next season so I can play more aggressively (though I must say that tonight's game was the best of my life, even the opponents said so) =)

As far as thanskgiving dinner... kudos to all who came and brought the bomb-ass food... kudos especially to the people that brought the Tapa.. that was awesome... oh wait that was Michelle and I... hehehehe.. as a tribute to our annual 7th thanksgiving (isn't it 7) dinner.. I wanted to do a letterman and do the top 10 things NOT to do at the dinner here goes

TOP 10 THINGS NOT TO DO AT TIFFANY'S AFTER-THANSKGIVING DAY DINNER

10 Come late if you can prevent it. Otherwise, you miss all the good food... and not everyone will get to try what you bring cuz they are already full
9 Tell Veronique about boys... she gets too excited
8 Put Jeff and Michelle on the same team for Taboo.. actually just never put them on the same team period.
7. Tease Kahula to the point of trauma.. at one point she was just staring at the wall and wasn't even caring that we were still eating
6. Guys: never tell girls that you watch Gilmore Girls.. unless you want your soft side to show
5. Cook only 3 cups of rice when there is about 16 people and several meat choices.. (you know Asians in particular, need our rice!)
4. Play the same CD over and over again to the point where you can name every track on it in order
3. Dress up and then decide half way through dinner to change into a sweatshirt and jeans regardless of how uncomfortable you may feel
2. Show up to the dinner w/o any food... (it's potluck duh)
1. Give Kahula anything to eat.. can't you tell she eats enough already????

Warning: Please note that the above was only intended for entertainment purposes... any harmful or damaging information was not intentional and should not be taken seriously. (dont' ya like my ad-like label warning)

Hope you all enjoyed my top 10 things..

As far as what I would like for x-mas...
1) to get my varekai (cirque du soleil show) poster custom framed
2) get a phone charger for my new cell phone
3) Buffy DVD's
4) Anything for my patio
5) Car accessories (more specifically a hard tire cover and rack)

hmm.. anyway... I'll share more in a bit... I have to run now. it's getting late and I have to play my last game of cannasta for the evening

Thanks to everyone who came out for yet another successful dinner. Good food, good times. I think yall gave my dog a complex from all the "compliments" about her massive weight. I know she's a bit heffer-ish, but hey, show the dog some love ok. Dogs have feelings too. :-)

It's safe to say that I can go for about two weeks without ever having to touch another piece of food.

What's up with this continued dry spell of missing blogs? I know I haven't been writing much lately because I really don't have much going on up here in Davis to really talk about. Do we need to throw out some questions to get this going again? Ok fine, here's one to get the ball rolling...

Name something you really want for Christmas this year.
Me: Either a) the "Our Way" DVD, a behind the scenes look at the U.S. team's performance in the World Cup or b) "The Osbournes" first season DVD

Remember to keep the date of SATURDAY DECEMBER 21 open for some White Elephant fun. $20-25 price range, no cd's, dvd's or gift certificates...so be creative.

Good luck to Phil in his upcoming volleyball game!

Greetings all:

Anyway, just wanted to say WELCOME BACK ED.. I'm glad to see ya post... I
was wondering where'd ya been... Anyway, I feel your pain w/ Shinjo in that
Mr. Bell has become a philly fanatic.. yes, how unfortunate.. I have no idea
who they are going to replace Bell with.... I'm just annoyed he signed with
them... well screw him.. (for now)

Just wanted to let everyone know how my weekend went...

Friday - I actually got to see Harry Potter, "the chamber of secrets" with
Christine at AMC 1000... and talk about good timing.. I actually finally
found parking on Van Ness and Bush (which is like 6 blocks from the theatre)
and literally ran to the theatre (b/c the movie was starting in 5 min)..
There, I met Christine and we went to the theatre... the theatre was
packed.. luckily we spotted single seats on either side of this one asian
couple on the top row dead center and asked them to move so that Christine
and I could sit together... talk about lucky. =)... the movie itself was
great.. I still like the first one better.. but the second one had its
moment.. that dobby character kills me... I was sad that I didn't see
Hermione as much as I did the first movie b/c I think she's a real good
character they develop... anyway... before I give anything way I will
stop.... overall it's definitely a movie worth seeing at the theatre. in my
opinion... After the movie, I dropped my beanie somewhere and christine and
I were literally on hands and knees looking for it on the nasty, oily
floor... we had to finally wait for the theatre lights to go on for us to
finally find my hat which was stuck in a crevas in the seats in front of
us.. It was totally camouflaged so we would have never seen it without more
lighting..

Saturday - I basically played my new PS2 game Ratchet Clank.. It's a cool
game about a mouse-like character "ratchet" and his robot "clank" who go on
missions to find this "captain clark" (who kinda look like captain america)
in order to preserve the universe... the graphics are pretty cool and the
game is easy to follow... I dunno if the game is too easy b/c I think i'm
almost done.... At night, my sister, ariel, Lory, and I saw Cirque du Soleil
"varekai"... talk about some great acrobatic, daredevil feats.. my heart was
beating every minute they were flying through the air.. some of the acts
don't even have nets or spotters so it's a little scary... I had actually
seen this show on thurs with my dept (due to a dept contest we won) so I
already knew some of the acts.. however, I dozed on some parts on the
thursday matinee so I totally missed the love-scene that was basically woven
throughout the entire show... lamo I am..

Sunday - I basically went shopping in San francisco by myself while Ariel,
my sister, and the rest of their friends had make up consultation by
smashbox... I didn't realize that it was going to take 3 hours..so I
basically visited every guy-friendly clothing store imagineable downtown...
I think I've had my fill of downtown for a good week at least.. and you know
what the scary thing was.. I bought nothing.. yeah nothing.... eveything was
either not on sale, or if it was on sale, the sale prices was like reg
price... in any case.. I felt empowered shopping by myself. By the way talk
about a beautiful Union Square.. they really made that square look real
nice...

So hope everyone' week goes great.. I will see you all on friday...Also, my
mom is having a house blessing on sunday at my condo in case anyone is
interested, call me if you wanna come... it's going to be at 11 a.m. (yeah I
know early)....

My v-ball game is tomorrow... if we win, we take 2nd seed into playoffs, if
we lose 3rd seed.... Wish me luck... =)

Matsui who?

Don't leave Shinjo.......
remember the time I yelled your name when Dusty put you in as the second half of a double switch in the 7th inning of a blow-out?
remember the time i waved to you while you sat in the dugout combing your hair?
remember how i took your bobble head to softball games, fed him, and tucked in his blankie at night?
remember the time you looked in my direction as you were running back to the dugout after grounding out to second base?
remember the time i almost bought those bright orange wrist bands, but couldn't cause they were burning my retnas?
remember how i dyed my hair like yours after you singled in game 1, then said that i'd grow my hair like yours after you reached on an error in game 4?
remember how troy percival struck you out in game 7 and you made me cry like a little girl?
we've been through so much together, how can you just up and leave? wait did you hear that..........'twas my heart shattering into a thousand lifeless pieces. where have you gone joe dimaggio?...who cares...Garfunkel should rewrite the song to where will you go Tsyoushi Shinjo our nation cries it's lonley tears for you.
boo hoo hoo.

did you see me the other night.....30 points 16 rebounds 2 blocks 1 asssist.....as Stuart Scott said, "only 9 assists away from a triple double".

returned from hawaii on wednesday.....the meteorlogist guy in hawaii should have his job title changed to extended vacation guy. "aloha. me thinks it'll be nice outside today, back to you skip."......got my fair share of the 5 S's. sun, surf, snorkle, swim, and sleep....there were so many japanese people there i thought i saw shinjo at least 5 times.....usually your vacation ends when you step off the plane. mine ended the second united decided to show scooby doo starring Freddie Prinze Jr. as their inflight movie.

i meant Yao earlier, not me. so for clairification once again, i'm not Yao.

HUNKER DOWN FOR WAR.....tiff wants war she'll have it. she and her fellow munchkin pranksters decided to rearrange everything in my room upon my return from paradise. let's just say everything in my room has been resituated 45 degrees clockwise, which of course, places my desk directly in front of my front door. i currently have to use the "side entrance", also known as the bathroom. as immediate action was needed to be taken, i decided to help advertise tiff's moving / feng shui services on Craigslist. she has already received many replies. i also decided that it was time for tiff and nick to get some action, so i posted an ad for tiff under the category women seeking women and for nick men seeking men. i think nick and tiff were both quite appreciative.

the BIG SPLASH will be held Sat. at 10am in Berkeley. unlike the BIG GAME, CAL owns stanfurd in water polo winning the Heaston Trophy (given to the winner of the BIG SPLASH) for the past 3 years. anyone who's interested in going give me a call. there will be former and current olympians there....and i'll stand next to them to try and blend in. and remember, the only reason the guys in the water are so good is that they got to practice against tools like kev and i.

will see you all at Taft's after day turkey goobily-gawk thing.

UCD Computer Lab

Does anyone even check this thing anymore? The number of posts has seen a dramatic decrease in the past couple of months. What's up with that? Write people! I want stories, thoughts, feelings, anecdotes, trash-talking...you name it, it belongs here.

Big ups to Phil for being a faithful citizen of the blogworld.

Following in Phil's footsteps, I thought I'd write a little bit about my weekend, since it was a rare entertaining one that surprisingly didn't consist of me sitting on my ass being bored as hell. The fun started on Friday when my good neighbors next door (who happen to be two of my former teammates) hosted their annual "Wine & Cheese" event. This entailed getting all dolled up and getting drunk the high fashion style, with glasses and glasses of fine wine. And yes, Tafty got wayyyy tipsy. Enough said.

Continuing the "let's pretend to party it up like the rich" theme, the following Saturday I went to Sonoma with some friends for my first winery open house. My friend is a member of a wine club and gets invites to open houses for some of the wineries in Sonoma. As we pulled up in the parking lot in a janky 1980-something Jeep, we couldn't help but notice the BMW on our left, the Mercedes on our right, and of course the occassional Porsche here and there. Hmmmm...needless to say we felt a little out of place. But who cares, it was free wine tasting and appetizers all day! The atmosphere in the winery itself felt like a swanky ass barbecue. I believe I overheard a conversation about trips to the Hamptons at least twice. Bouuuuu-gie. We spent the rest of the day walking around downtown Sonoma and then decided to cap the night off with a "Sex and the City" DVD.

The bougie lifestyle ended there, as Sunday was spent doing errands and of course watching the U.S. men's national team play a friendly against El Salvador. It was nice to see some of my favorite MLS players wearing the national team jersey. And apparently the curse of the blue jersey is over, as the U.S. beat El Salvador 2-0. The highlight of the match for me (no, it has nothing to do with Landon Donovan. Calm down) was seeing the Metrostars' Clint Mathis wear the captain's armband. He received a lot of shlack during and after the World Cup by just about everyone, so it was nice to see him come back and show them all that he is indeed, the shit. Go Clint.

And to put a final end to the weekend, I went to see the new Harry Potter flick. All I have to say is that it was better than the first one.

Time for me to catch the bus home. Hope to read some new blogs soon.

*Phil posts his weekend blog*

HOLA, just wanted to let everyone know how my weekend was...

Friday - After taking a 3-hour nap, I met up with Michelle to watch a movie.. Originally we wanted to watch Sweet Home Alabama but then there were no more late showings, so we thought maybe we can get lucky and watch Harry Potter... however the only available showing was 12:40 and it's a 3-hour movie.so uh.. passed that one.. so we decided to watch "the ring"... Now if any of you have heard or seen it.. it was one scary movie... Michelle thought I wasn't scared b/c I didn't cover my eyes or anything but the trick is.. to look down.. that way no around you sees that your scared... heheeh... at least that's what I did for most of the movie.. Now as far as plot line... the premise (which you get in the first 5 min) is basically that there is a VHS tape that if you watch it, you see some weird stuff (e.g like a lady looking at you) then after u finish watching it, someone calls you and says "7 days" and basically that means you will die in 7 days.... so I haven't spoiled anything but basically the movie has twists and turns (not too many but just enough to keep you guessing) why in the hell and what is causing all this... I highly recommend this movie.. but don't watch it late night (it's a little eerie if it's too late)

Saturday - Basically I cleaned my entire apt. I hadn't done that in awhile and so I was pretty amazed on how much cleaning (as well as doing laundry ) I could do in 7 hours.... Afterward, I went to a wedding at the SF Marriott... talk about extravangas.. the bride and groom (both of which are Ariel's friends) had 550 guests... and 4 rooms at the hotel ballrooms... The show went by pretty quick and they had a live band... It was very nice.. they even had gift potpourri boxes as "favors" ... yes favors.... did I mention they also had 2 kinds of wedding cake to choose from??? Let's just say my tummy was happy after that...

Sunday - Cleaned more and more... then had sylv, christine, and my sister come over to swap pics of New York (and which all of you will see soon online)... we ate tons.. I swear we had tons of food (not as much as July4th but it was gettin there)... and watch Monsters Inc and the American Idol DVD>.. which reminds me... SYlv and I went and saw the American Idol in concert.. It was awesome! 2 hours of great music, great soul perforamcnes (go tamyra)... I must admit I'm obsessed with that show and can't wait for American Idol 2....

Here are some random thoughts
- Shinjo is gone.. talk about all the apparel that has to markdown and all the people who have shinjo jersies... how sad =( guess they will have some new outfielders..
- ALOUUUUUUU is in town.. I wonder how he'll do as manager of the giants.. I think he's a selection compared to uh Jim Fregosi... (yuck)
- IF you ever go to a concert, never park near the entrace, park near the exit.. you'll save much more time getting out (I got out in 2 min after the concert)....
- Birds of Prey, any of you watch it... if so, did you know it's getting canceled...
- Survivor is down to its final 8, any thoughts on ultimate winners?
- Bachelor - Helene or Brooke, you decide
- CD's I've bought within the last two weeks : Justin's "justified" Christina Aguilera "Stripped", Missy Elliott, TLC "3D", on the verge of buying the "now that's what I call music 11, and maybe Craig David" what have YOU bought

OK hope I hear a response from at least one person... =)

*Phil yawns as he is about to go to bed*

Bonjour everyone... Anyway hope for those of you who had a long 3 day weekend enjoyed it.. I myself dont' usually get Veteran's day off, but I decided to make it a holiday for me.. I called in sick just cuz I wasn't feeling like going to work... isn't that great... technically my job has unlimited sick days... so technically I could call in sick more often.. I just feel bad doing it... this time, however, I didnt' feel bad.. last week I had flu-like symptoms and my manager knew it and didn't even tell me to go home!! she was like "aww, take some vitamins"... I was like dumb ***** tell me go home!

But anyway as far as my weekend went..
Friday - went to eat with my friend Brianna from berkeley. Though I have come to the realization that I practically had no close friends from college, I am surprised that I still am close to a few of them, Brianna being one of them... If any of you remember, she is the one girl that looks like she's totally white but she's 1/4 filipno... anyway... we had some ghetto chinese restaurant over by the berkeley campus.. good food just ghetto place.. I had a soda and asked for a straw and she said they dont' have any (not they ran out, they actually dont' carry straws) and their water tasted like expired water (not that I know really how that tastes like).... so yeah.. but anywayz the food was pretty good... after which we went to Tower and looked at CD's.. however found nothing that was cheap so we left... (by the way TLC's CD comes out tomorrow!) that was friday..

Saturday - Went home to go to my cousin's cotillion (cotillion meaning 18th coming-out b-day party for filipna women)... anyway... her theme for the evening was peach.. so her whole entourage was wearing peach dresses.. Now peach dresses would look good if everyone was light-skinned but a couple weren't and it looked "yuck"... now I don't even know why her entourage had to wear the dresses considering that they no waltz, cha-cha or any real performance or entrance.. so to me that seemed like a waste of money...

then to make matters worse;... I was supposed to play the piano in the beginning of entire night with this one girl (danielle) she got from her alma mater "mercy sf".. now, the girl who was singing the song i was plyaing "on my own"... had been practicing for weeks and weeks... apparently, my cousin (tracy her name is) felt that the program was running late and decide to "cut" our duet... so Danielle gets all pissy and starts crying and is hella mad... so tracy feels bad and decides to have the performance (mind you that the piano is now in the same room as the actual dinner/program) so all the guests that were asked to go into the banquet room had to go outside to the open lounge area to hear this one performance... anyway.. so Danielle and I perform the song, everyone claps, and she runs off with her dad and bf and leave the entire party.. talk about bitter... but whatever...

Anyway back to the cotillion, my cousin doesn't even bother to do a welcome speech and ends up just having dinner... which actually I ddin't mind b/c by then I'm starving... then after the dinner.. the program begins.. now she has everything from her singing solo (of mary j blige's "a beautiful day" to her dad's singing solo, to hula (which was actually pretty good), to martial arts, to a hip hop performance, to a raflle, and then there is more games,, talk about a long program..

the she has these party games (which I thought I was kinda strange for such a formal party) she had the entourage, the 18 candles (which included my sister and I) to play pass the peach (a.k.a hot potato) .. so we had 3 circles of 6 and the winner of each circle would win a prize... my sister was eliminated early, however I came down to the final two in my circle.. however I ended up losing... and losing what might I add??? 18 dollars!! she was giving money away as the prize!! talk about bougie... then they had musical chairs (which was ntended for the adults, but who in their right mind is going to play musical chairs in a suit/dress) anyway the candles again (or those who volunteered) got to play... so 7 ppl played, they played 1 rnd, and that was it.. 5 ppl won 18 dollars each again!!! ugh... I could have played again... but anywayz...

to make matterz worse the DJ's were horrible.. spintronix (yeah the old-school dj group) dj'd the whole thing and charged $700 for some crappy ass house music (though I love house, this was hideous) and played nothing but awful songs...did I mention that Romeo Gotera was the main dj.. small world..

Ok, I figure this is too much to take for one blog so I'll blog about sunday and monday later.. see y'all soon! hopefully at tiff's... =)

*Phil sits at his desk watching Lea Salonga singing "On My Own" on Bravo*

Anyway, I have some great news to share... I finally got promoted.... yes Phil got promoted at Mervyn's..... now I am a Senior Business Analyst...woohoo... .and yes I get a raise (don't ask how much)...yes all that extra extra hours finally paid off.. now it gives me more opportunities within the company to move as well as looking better on my resume... anyway... just had to share that one..

On Tuesday, my v-ball team won our 6th game of the season.. we are currently 6-3 and in 2nd place..... unfortunately one of your teammbers twisted her ankle after going up on a ball to spike it... she is our best all-around player... sucks... but anyway.. if any of you are interested in ever coming to watch, let me know.. it's cool if you don't.. I know it's too far to get to by 6 or 7 (depending on my game time)

Dusty Baker Gone! Wow, I can't believe the Giants just let him go... I honestly don't know if I am sad or ok with the decision.. I guess I won't know until I see who the replacement is.. hopefully it is someone who can keep the giants rollin....

Elections, elections.. so did anyone go out and vote.. I tpersonally didn't vote b/c I coudln't remember where I registered and plus I had my v-ball game so Ic hose to go that instead... Personally I didn't favor Davis or Simon for governor... I'm surprised with all the slander and dirty campaigning simon did that we got that close to davis.. I guess it shows that dirty campaigning doesn't always hurt...

Anyone watch the remake of Carrie??? if so, here are some questions... was their a "period scene' in the original??? Didn't the original Carrie die at the end??? Did Sue Ellen really ask Tommy to take Carrie out of pity? or as a joke? (I missed that part)... Didn't you think Rena Sofer (a.k.a the coach) act a little bit too militant during her scene with her students... Personally I think carrie is a classic and should never have been remade... oh well... guess people don't have imaginations any more to create something new...

The Bachelor.. so I finally decided to start watching it, mainly b/c the CMA's were on instead of the Amazing Race... so it's down to Helene and Brooke... who'd ya think will win? I personally want Helene.. she looks more interesting... and seems a little bit more real... I just dont' like brooke... too bad for Gwen.. I think she was about to cry real hard... can't wait to see next week's season finale just to see who gets dumped....

So gobble gobble day is coming up... I believe tiffy wiffy spiffy is still hosting another, ain't that right tiffy?? if you are... let us know what time and what we should bring... =) I always love that.. hey and tiff, will there be a showing of a certain TV episode/?????

anyway until we meet again. adieu.

HELLLLLLOOOOOOO EVERYBODY!!!
how the heck has everyone been? did everybody all of a sudden get shy for unknown reasons? we're all friends so lets start to share again!
update on what's been goin on w/me:

~many of you don't know this but the primary reason i have not blogged is because i haven't had the energy. in dedication to my grandmother, i have given up eating meat and seafood for 7 weeks. it has been a hard couple of weeks and i cannot wait to sink my teeth into a nice phat juicy steak. so remember me when you eat your hamburgers, clam chowder, BBQ chicken, sushi, etc....appreciate all you eat cuz you know i do.

~now to the good news. today, Friday, November 1st 2002 is my LAST day of work at the hospital. after a year of doing almost nothing but bloggin and emailin, i have acquired another position that will use my brain - sort of. now don't worry peeps, i'm sure i will still have enough time to hit everybody with some tiff-love =)

~as a treat to myself for sticking around a whole year, i'm going to BOSTON. as i enjoy cold weather, i will have ample opportunities to freeze by bootie off in boston. high temp is 40 degrees now brrrrrrrr...good thing i have a collection of ugly hats to keep me toasty. please let me know if you need anything from Boston. hey tiff, i will keep a pix of you on my bag so Boston-bred hotties will see what they are missing out on in Cali.
~so who's down to party tonite? YAAAAHOOOOOOOOOOOO!

laters,
tiff
POST! POST! POST! POST! POST!

*Phil posts again*

So I was thinking... I noticed that no one has blogged anything.. then I thought... are people bored of blogging? do they just like reading? do they feel like they have nothing to say??? In my opinion.. it's fine if you don't want to blog.. I just like to hear what are on people's minds... I have realized that everyone used the blog for different reasons.. some as recapping their everday lives, others to talk about sports, media, music, etc. , and others just like to talk about upcoming or past events (like going to a giants or a's game)..and there are probably people who just like reading it and don't feel like sharing anything.. nonetheless. I think we all know that blogging has at least opened our eyes to a lot of things good and I guess you could say bad. At least to this point we have learned a little bit more about each other.. and those who read it I hope you enjoy hearing what people have to say...

Now back to latest news... I just purchased the new Christina Aguilera's "stripped" CD... I have only listened to a couple of songs.. but I can already tell that this one is dfiferent from her first CD by a mile.... the beats... the sounds, the lyrics... all different.. you guys might want to check it out if you're interested... they're 10.88 at target this week (mine was cheaper cuz of my discount of course) =) Now I wonder if people will respond to her music?? It seems to target a lil different audience.. It'll be interesting to see how it turns out...

I had my volleyball game tonight.. it was a doubleheader for my team...we lost the first game to bunch of men buyers.. who are all dicks and think they are the shiet... I personally hate this one heavy set guy who has an attitude problem and thinking he's so cool with his little spoiler revved up while driving in the garage at Mervyn's... what a lamo..... we knew we were going to lose b/c they had too many tall people and we didn't..

.the second game we played was against a team of 4... 1 of which was terrible.. now you think a team of 7 would beat them... at first we were behind 2-8... luckily with some magic and some concentrated hitting we came back to win that game 15-10 or so... the second set was another come from behind.. down 13-9 we came back to win 13-15... so now my team is 5-3 and I believe 2nd or 3rd out of a divsion of 7.... (did I mention that we were two times champs and 1st runner up last season)... =)

Now no one hear has talked about the sniper attacks.. can you imagine that?? I can't believe that these people just shot ppl randomly for no "apparent reason" except maybe to see their name in the media daily (if not every hour) and I guess for some monetary value.. but nonetheless it's remarkable how long they got away with it.. and evidently if they hadn't really asked for that money.. ( I think that is what it was). they probably wouldnt' have gotten caught...I just can't grasp the idea of how anyone could just shoot people... while mowing lawn, while shopping at Home Depot.. that just get chills down my spine...

My manager is gone for the week, she went back to wisconsin to do campus interviews.. can I just say *par_tay* at my work.. heheheeheh...

Ok that's it for me now.. more to come soon.

Phil returns from the east coast

I'M BACK!... After 8 days in New York, I have realized how much I missed the bay area.. First of all, I just had to say New York was lots of fun... there is tons of shopping out there, not to mention the prices are cheaper than they are here (relatively).. and they have NO (yes that's right) no tax on clothes....my personal favorite stores: zara, H&M, century 21, and canal jean company.... ....I swear I spent half of my time shopping out there.... plus for you reeg.. you'd love their chinatown.. they got tons of bootleg Cd's at about 3 for $10... you could get all your cd's... now of course the CD's are all burned CD's. but when can you get cd's (the newest ones too) at such a low price...

anyway... the one thing that sucks about New York is that the food is muy expensive...e.g. Mcdonald's the lowest meal price was around $4.70... ouch... plus their asian food is good not as good as we have out here... esp. Japanese food.. their sushi is so small and so expensive it's ridiculous that anyone ever eats sushi out there.... much props have to go out to Ariel, who basically planned the entire trip and took us to all his favorites eateries and shopping places..... but getting back to food.. the american food was awesome.. of course I had to try their hot dogs, huge.. and yummy.. their pizzas were awesome as well..hard to describe the taste of that one....

let's see what else did we see in New York... the statue of LIberty (we couldn't go in b/c of 9/11 security etc) , ground zero (now that was depressing) the empire state building, harlem, spanish harlem, nolita, the village, lower east side, guggenheim, the met (and know that's not the mets' baseall stadium), grand central station, soho,

as far as celeberities we saw Katie Couric and the guy from surprise by design.... but that is about it.

as far as shows we saw FLower Drum Song, featuring Lea Salonga... all the actors were great however the musical was par compared to musicals I've seen lately...

did I forget to mention that Sylv, Michelle, Christine, and I were on TRL on Monday.Ariel got us tickets to the show for my b-day. if any of you had been watching.... we were on last monday... and they placed us right next to the window so we were on camera quite a bit.. Tiff, I believe you taped it...can I get a copy of it.. apparently Ariel only taped up to #5 on the countdown... I want to see the rest of it.

also their transportation system in New York is one of a kind.. makes our Muni and Bart to shame.... really quick and it goes EVERYWHERE... no one drives in New York... and when they say that they really mean it....

ok I think I'm all New York'd out for now... if you guys want to know more let me know...so what's everyone plans for halloween? I'm going to Ariel's friend's Halloween Party....how bou you?

ok see y'all later.

Dear Diary,

Hi. Long time no write dear friend. Sorry I have not poured out my heart and soul and senseless babble to you in such a long time, but you know how it is....shit happens.

Lots have happened in the time I have been away. But before I get into that, how about a dose of spoken word, as I was much inspired recently by the poetic geniuses of Russell Simmons' Def Poetry Jam (Yay for HBO). Ready?

Mic check. One two, one two.

What we have here is a spot of blog
Since I (used to) write so much, some would say I was a hog
A long time ago, a friend wrote some words
Everyone thought, my, you sound so absurd(s)
So down came that blog because feelings were hurt
But no not mine, as I sat and read in my Donovan shirt
Me take offense to jokes of soccer and Justin of *Nsync?
Hell no, says I, at least they're better than Pink
But others assumed that I was angry or would cry
You're greatly mistaken, I thought and I sigh(ed)
Little did they know twas others' words that caused pain
Anonymous responses to my brief short chain
Of a thought I had in mind one dark gloomy day
"IT'S JUST YOU!" the words yelled at me, as if to say
You're retarded, you're dumb, what are you talking about
The missing name to those responses are what made me shout
But whoever you are, I shall tell you this
I'm over it now, so don't you dismiss
Me out of this spot of blog created for friends
It's all in the past, how easy my heart mends
And back to my old self, these words are legit
Like always I'll smile and say, I won't take your shit. :-)

Well dear diary, it's time for me to go. Maybe I'll write again soon, maybe not. We'll see. Perhaps this dose of blogetry will inspire others to write again and get this thing running like it used to. I sure miss laughing to other people's entries. But like I said, we'll see.

Until we meet again.

Yours Truly,
Tiffany Grace Basilio

P.S. Did you hear, the Galaxy beat the Revolution in the MLS Cup last weekend? Just thought I'd ask. :-)
"So be the resurrector, and give the dead some life"

Famous words uttered by the cotton swab (Q-tip) almost a decade ago...funny how it may seem appropriate nowadays, with relation to the rather lukewarm blogspot...good to see dan post again, following the slurring lead epitomized by nick and echoed by tiffB...

Not much activity here, possibly due to a few posters on the atlantic coast...and maybe gas in low in the tank...so to revive this spot, I propose to...ummm....donate a dollar for every thoughtful post into our fantasy bkball pool, whichyou guys should already be aware about, for the season is about to commence...

as most of you cats already know, the reegsta is making the excursion back to the YAY after a lil more than half a decade in southern cali...its been a priceless experience down herrre, but its time to end this eventful chapter and head back....hope yall anticipate my arrival, while others may cringe at the thought...haha jp

well i'm at work, so technically i should be working...so i'll holla later.....peace out

Monday, October 14, 2002

Hey all,

I just had to share how my weekend went... first of all,

Friday - went with Nick and Lil' Tiff to see Red Dragon.. now I am so lame b/c I did not know this movie was the prequel to Silence of the Lambs.... so I was like.. how come Anthony Hopkins is not in jail... I swear half the time my hands were covered in front of my face b/c I was so scared... I'd rather cover my face than jump up and scream and everyone laugh at me.

Satuday - went to the Giants game.. Yes I got to go to my dream games.. I actually got to go to all three games here.. I'm so stoked... saturday game was such a bummer, after the game everyone was so silent.. it was depressing.. At night, I saw some of my relatives from Saudi Arabia. Yes Phil has relatives from Saudi Arabia.. for the first time to celebrate my b-day (which is in 4 days!) woohoo... .at Peppermilll (which I also never know until last year was a hotel in Reno) .. it was interesting/distrubing to hear about all the segregation and discrimination women face over there... here's some tidbits I learned

- did you know that all native saudi's women have to covered themselves completely head to toe and only show their eyes in public
- in their houses, there are separate rooms for males and females?
- most of the country are expatriates (foreigners)
- even if you are an expatriate, a woman must always were a black scarf, shawl, whatchamacall on her shoulders..

Sunday - went to church (with some horrible opera singers), went to target with lory (bought hella crazy stuff for her) and then went to the giants game... and might I add that it was the BEST game I ever went to... unbelieveable.. all the suspense, excitement.. for once the giants fought off a deficit, came from behind in dramatic fashion.. the Giants are not used to doing that.. they are usually a team that is eith ertied or ahead if they win games... it was nice to see them come from behind for a change, some thoughts on this postseason series

- poor shinjo, only has very very limited playing time
- sanders 1-15? god how awful is that type of hitting, maybe it's time for a REPLACEMENT?
- snow, talk about coming in clutch for the postseason.. esp since being dead during most of the regular season
- benito - what can you say he's awesome
- pitching staff.. all have them at least have had 1 good outing and pretty much 1 bad one.. how ironic.
- bonds, at least he's hitting better in the post season.

Just my thoughts...
Hope to hear from you all soon!

as a tiffany, i feel that i need to defend all other tiffs. because i'm coming from a not-so-good D-3 school(i guess we would be the ulgy/dorky girl at Uglyville High), i think its cool that Davis is THE BEST D-2 school in the country. don't let these moroooons give you a hard time...would you rather be the best D-2 school or a D-1 school that's always getting into trouble for illegal recruiting activities and for letting athletes pass classes they didn't even attend - no ethics whatsoever. i rest my case.

as long as you're sleepwalking through life with your friends, its all good. and you know what? we are ALL sleepwalking...we need the company.

so much to comment on since i was talking a leave of absence from bloggin
~reeg: when did blogland become a porn site? hmmm, i like good looking people but i don't think i'm into the half-naked-pube-showing kinda pix - lets lay off of those please. call me crazy! actually, NOBODY better call me crazy
~phiL: favorite radio station will have to be 94.9 esp in the morning...dog house is hella funny
~taft: thank you for the buzzzzzed blog...thoroughly entertaining and a warning for me not to ever get drunk
~ed: like i said, if you really want to go to a strip club i know someone who will go with you. if need someone to show you the ropes, steph and ant are veterans =)
~jefe: laughing does not mean that dan, nick, and i agreed with your new name - sexual adobo? HAHAHAHA that's a good one
~to all who attend jefe's b-day: jefe didn't have fun on his b-day...how do i know? because he told me =( he sent his b-day pix to a friend from davis and said that she "actually thought we had fun by those pix." OUCH, that hurts.

anyways, have a nice weekend everybody. talk to you all soon

Quickstyle...
Anyone interested in going to the warriors exhibition game this fri. nite @7:30 at the oakland arena vs. the portlan trail blizzers? We can get the $10 tickets and then move down to the lower bowl (i seem to be an expert on that). It's their only home exhibition game this year. We can get the tix at the box office that night!

Let me know. It's a great time out!
Sexual Adobo
I present Exhibit A-25.02. The Giants are still playing baseball. The A's are still playing baseball, but only on their XBox.

Good thing there's no dress code because I proudly wore my Giants jersey into the office today. Some of you probably don't understand how dangerous that is....(hint: I work in Oakland) The only thing dumber that I can think of would be if some idiots wore Giants jerseys to an A's game on the 4th of July. Huh Tiff.

Is it a coincidence that the year the Giants trade for Shinjo, they advance in the playoffs? NO IT IS NOT. Shinjo rules.

You know what doesn't rule.....Orlando. Sorry to report but no strip club for me. But now that I'm back in town, I'd like to suggest that Sexual Adobo set-up another competitive game of softballs or if people don't have time for that let's just go to a strip club.

Did someone say strip club?

FYI
I have officially changed my name from Jefe to Sexual Adobo! The name has been approved by T-Lam, Nick, and Dan!
BTW: It was nice seeing Dan, my old roomie, again. Yes, that is not a mistake. He did make an appearance, albeit brief, this weekend in san bruno. Please drop by and sign a petition to "Bring Dan Home" and while we're at it "Bring TAFT Home". We CANNOT allow Davis to hold our compadres hostage anymore! You know they're chanting "Save-us from Davis (re: Dav-us)!
So to recap this past weekend's events....
Fri: took a half day and got a haircut at Dolly's in Pacifica, requested by momma. I usually go to ELY-LYN's near goldilocks....like anyone cares! Anyways, this lady gave me a great haircut, but cut off my sideburns to high! what up with dat? Next time...i'm gonna tell her to keep them and i'll do it myself
Sat: went to the giants game and they lost breaking my 3 game winning streak for the year. Hecka hot though....jane and i could only stand the bleachers for 2 innings! A fight broke out which was cool though. So we sat with phil and christine high above which was better, but still hot. Thank goodness for lemonade and the rally rags! Nick and I did make it to the batting cages....we're gonna try out for the majors next spring! We are that damn good! Malibu prolly hates us since we borrowed two softballs and a baseball...but we'll return them eventually!
Sun: How sad it was:( Went to the A's game (with nick and chris liu) only to see their season come to the end. They did manufacture a tremendous rally in the bottom of the ninth but was not enough. Sad, sad sad. However, some good did come out of the experience:
1. Jacque Jones of the Twins threw me a ball during batting practice, so I can officially say that I have a Major League baseball now! Quite exciting...the ball feels heavier but now I can master my Barry Zito curveball!
2. Thundersticks (calm down ladies...get your minds out of the gutter) are awesome! They make cheering so much fun. I vow to bring them everywhere i go and annoy the heck out of everybody!

I didn't really want to blog, but i did. I just wanted to inform you all of my name change. If you all think of any better names, feel free to tell me.

Compliments:
1. You have nice teeth...they're so white!
2. Damn Jefe! You sure know how to puck!
3. Damn Jefe! Going horseback riding with you is so much fun....I sure love when a HORSE is on my BACK!

My line of the week...guaranteed to work: Hey baby, you're my top gun, cuz you take my breath away!

Later everyone. Promise to blog again in 3 weeks!
Yours truly,
Sexual Adobo
Phil apologizes for any spelling errors from my last blog... you know you gotta write fast if you're at work!
Phil sits with a bruised toe....

Yes everyone, my foot officially is F*cked up again.. .gotta get it fixed tomorrow... I swear after this one, I'm going str8 to the pedicurisit...

GIANTS ARE STILL IN IT!!! Woohoo... I should have made that bet with you Nick.. sorry to hear that your A's went down in 5.... but NOW IS THE TIME TO CHEER FOR THE GIANTS..woohoo woohoo.. .hopefully by the time everyone reads this.. the Giants will have eliminated the braves...

so yeah I bought the American Idol CD.... and I realized... I just bought a Karaoke CD.... w/ the exception of Kelly 2 singles, these are all remakes.... and they aren't produced very well... sound quality is terrible.. only Tamyra and Justin's sound decent...

Since I watched Alias at Tiff L the other weekend, I have just started getting into it.. what a great show... I love it.. reminds me of how x-files used to be.... but I just don't see how they can prolong this show for more than several seasons....

I started watching American Dreams as well. well a bit of it.. seems interesting... anyone else watching it???

Also, I had major fun at Sylv's thing over at the Cat Club.. talk about a club that has so many different kinds of people.. do you even remember us there, SYLV??

Christine, thanks for coming with me to the game on saturday... hopefully we can buys tickets if they go to NLCS.... btw what's liz leung e-mail address???

Tiff B- you and your drunken habits... you should grab a drink with candace, and jordan and all those folks.. do they their mr and mrs populartiy... you biked home from the "bras"" did you lose your bra at the bar?? heheheheh... I love the way you spell when you're drunk

Jeffe, thanks for coming and making the Giants game more enjoyable with you and Jayne's presence.... sorry had to bail on batting cages.. did you guys end up going???

Steph - are you still going to be reading this? If so, I'll write more to ya..

Ok that's it for now.

Best song of the week; A House is not a Home

Best compliment that I got: I don't know if this was a compliment or insult... but someone once said to me.. you look so much better in pictures... (now that I think about it, that was an insult)
Ok, that's it for now.

Orlando sucks when you have to work and you don't get to do the DisneyWorld, Epcot, fun-kiddy things i really want to do. I guess working just sucks in general no matter where you are. In other news: So yeah, my boss wants to take me and some clients to a strip club tonight.....i'm not sure if that's a good idea but hey work's work and if i get paid to go to strip clubs, then so be it. I suffer for my work. I'll give you guys a report on tonight's events later. I predict my boss getting wasted and me using polaroids as a means to get a raise. let's hope that all works out.

i haven't read the blogs in a bit.....what am i missing? brief synopsis (read: un-regan-like) please.

Happy October y’all…

Its another entry from the man, the myth, the legend…hopefully it’ll be entertaining and informative to my fellow bloggers…after a night of basically doing nothing and watching TV since it was a RealSmallWorldVille treat, I was inspired to blizzog…

disheartening A’s defeat...man they played more like the B’s...and it’s also the dawn of the NBA’s training camp…I recall when the Lakeshow held their TC at SB...it was pretty tight to see them and for once see our Events Center packed...

And out to the shouts:

SMT (pronounced “smut”): Glad u had a blast on your birthday bash (ooh tongue twister)…and I came ALL the way to north beach cali to celebrate it with you! Ahh too bad we left and missed the strip club shindig…nice way 2 cover up the story steph…

Eninen (N&N = nick newlin): See above paragraph…Mulder & Zito will pull it out…

TB-culosis: You’re the chief violator of the X Commandments, most noticeably about back2back blogs…consolidate and combine! About the sleazy and creepy dudes, well that’s about 90% of guys, so 1/10 are your odds, and when exactly are you done w/ school? And I think I could manage davis, since I do AGE and am the MAN...hahaha...one more thing: Marvin Not Straighte did indeed sing "I Heard it Through the Grapevine"...how dare you challenge my music prowess

Teal (T-L, say it out loud): Ironic if that’s your favorite color…Happy Bornday! did you still plan on coming down this wknd? b/c I need to give u your bday present ;-) Are u still studying? Man everyone’s taking these dang tests and I could’ve swore most of us graduated already…

Philipino: Its only been one week since I last blogged…would u like me to blog more frequently? Because I took that as an indirect compliment…thanks! 2 answer your ?tion, does Cost 2 the Co count? If not, then it has gots to be Fat Albert-son’s…because you don’t need no stinkin’ card and the prices are best!

Anon-Jeff-ymous: The answer of game can be interpreted many different ways…and by NO WAY am I an authority figure on this subject, as much as I like to think I am =)…but “game” with girls is being able to be yourself and having girls like you…and just exuding confidence around women, just don’t let them intimidate you…that’s my personal definition, and it might not apply to everyone or work or every or any girl…dook sucks

SylVIVA!: Hey there fellow dynamite stick…hope ur ready for an 80s blast! Wish I were there, but circumstances arisen (should’ve had a joint one w/ SMT)…oh well, funny story: my coworker brought her lunch not in a brown paper bag, but rather a chic Fred Segal tote bag…thoughts of you immediately came 2 mind…only in LA…

This is the last time, but FREE ANUP!

PANoramic (because its longer than standard, his height that is, u dirty minded people): where does this bizness trip take you now? You should let your walls represent who YOU are, not by old posters we have leftover…and u got a weight room? U sure it ain’t a wait room? Hahahaha I pleasure myself (with humor that is, u dirty minded people)

Kicks of the Week: thanks to my booo, I got these hot joints this weekend and rocked them today…can you say saucy??

They the white/red ones on the left, I already had the white/blue ones...Almost as hot as the other picture I put up…

Song of the week: for TB, its Big Tymers – Still Fly

DVD of the week: thanks again 2 V-may (she hooked me up!)

Classic.

Link of the week: Man this is some fun ish...if you're bored and have nothing to do (well...most of yall), then come to this site and create some fun anagrams...i put in my name and came up with ACTOR DARE NAG and DARN TACO RAGE..the possibilities are endless!

Fun with Anagrams!

Question of the week: What’s the best compliment you’ve ever got? And if you never got one, make one up…

I’m out this piece…hope I you made it this far…good nite =)

1 luv,
RTesia (my roomy calls me Artesia like the so cal city)

One more thing...
...In case I don't get a chance to hit up the 'ol blogger this week, Happy Birthday to Tiff (remember, forgiveness comes in the shape of a bottle) and Happy Birthday to Sylv (how sad am I to miss out on a party dedicated to my favorite decade! remember, you can only dance like Molly Ringwald a la Breakfast Club all night). HAVE A SPLENDID BIRTHDAY LADIES!!

much love,

Hey, welcome to the party Steph! Glad to hear (or read) that you had a great birthday, complete with drunkenness and strippers. I'm sorry I had to miss out!

Wondering...
...Why is it that everytime I go out, it's only the sleazy, creepy guys that hit on me. Is it that the hot guys feel they don't have to hit on anyone since they've probably got all the ladies flocking to them anyway? Is it that the nice "normal" guys are too shy to do anything? A little insight from our male readers would be most helpful.

Boughetto...
...Leave it to the locals of Sacramento to bring the word ghetto to a whole new level. Spotted on the streets of Sac: some dude driving a big black Lincoln Navigator with a license plate that read "BLEEDAT."

Stick a fork in 'em...
...The Quakes season is over. Finito. The defending MLS champs were the first ones to get the boot out of the playoffs after their 2-1 loss to the Crew on Saturday. I can't help but wonder, if I wasn't such an MLS "s**t" and ditched the Quakes for the Revs, would the result have been the same? Guess we'll never know.

Sorority Life ho's all up in my grill...
...They're everywhere these days. Amanda's in my physics class, ran into Jessica at the Internship and Career Center, caught the ghetto-looking girl who put the formal together at the bus stop, and ran into Mara and Jordan on where else, G St. (except they went to sleazy Cantina and I stayed at the Paragon, a bar next door). They have brought much shame to our beloved UCD campus. Now we'll be known for the cows and the....well other "cows."

Goal of the Day: Stay awake and pay attention in Physics class. Gonna kick some ass this quarter.

Bleedat,
~Taft

Hello 3rd floor bloggers!

This is the moment you've all been waiting for...MY DEBUT BLOG!!! Honestly, I tried to blog last Thursday, but the blogger site was down. Regan and Anup are my witnesses, right guys? Anyways, I wanted to thank everyone for the birthday blogs. I felt so special!!! It's so nice to be remembered on your birthday.

Also I'd like to thank everyone who came out to party with me on Saturday nite at Royale...I hope you all had a good time. I definitely did! I know I must've since I woke up the next morning still a bit drunk. :o) Sylv - that raspberry kamikaze shot was the best shot I've ever had!!!! Anup - that tokyo iced tea was the worst drink I've ever had!!! But hey, I have to admit that it got me pretty messed up and so I had a better time because of it. Guess I can't complain!! =) Oh, and special thanks to Val and Regan for coming out on their anniversary nite.

Okay, I might as well address the whole Hustler Club thing, since I'm sure everyone will be asking me about it after reading Phil's blog. First off, let me say that it was not worth the $20 each that we paid. Or rather, that Ant paid. (Thanks sweetie!) We all thought that it was going to be a more upscale place with possibly classier girls. Well, the interior was not impressive and the girls were definitely not impressive. No, I didn't get a lap dance or anything remotely close to one. And neither did anyone else. I swear! Although Ant and Alan saw a girl they went to high school with getting a lap dance by TWO dancers! So anyways, we didn't stay very long.

Well, this concludes my debut blog. I know it was short compared to what you all normally write, but now that I know how simple it is, I plan on blogging again. Thanks again everyone! Hope to see most of you at Sylv's 80's bash on Thursday. Oh, and early birthday shout-outs to Tiff and Sylv! Happy Birthday!!!!!
Quick Question: What are your definitions of "game"? Game as in spitting mad game and not game like monopoly, scrabble, connect four, etc.

I'm out....

*Phil returns from an eventful weekend with no sleep*

Hey all,

Great party Steph... Cafe Royale was great.... I got to see everyone again and got to drink and get drunk and watch Liz scream at some guy for spilling all over her... After which we parted while Steph, Ant, Ella Mae, and Lil' Alan went to Larry Flyn't Hustler CLub, How was that anyway Steph... Speaking of Steph, she mentioned that she actually read the blog and saw our POSTS!!! It's weird, it's like we have blogger voyeurs... just weird...

Sylvia, why in the world did you start talking about grocery stores??? I personally like Safeway better, it seems to have more things on sale that I like vs albertson's... though the only reason I go to albertson's is easier 1) to get starbucks 2) to get coupons for the dry cleaner that I go to...
Anyway yeah I like the safeway on Castro, vs nice pleasant, it's even a place to go "crusing"... also I will go to your party on thursday;however you better get my e-mail right next time you send out an evite

Nick, thanks again for coming with me to the baseball game... you're always a pleasure to sit next to at a game.. I feel like Kruk and Kuiper....next game we go to, is on you, right??? even if it's an A's game =) By the way, I'm still not feeling too good after that one burrito we had at West Portal..

Driving Illegal Girl a.k.a tiff b, so you started your first day of school... God, I don't think freshman even ride bikes in berkeley, I think they would be too afraid of being hit by a car... which would probably happen (when I was a freshman one of my dorm mates got hit by a car while riding a bike), Now abou the hair comment.. GET OVER IT... I said it once, and I won't say anymore.... sheesh a meesh ....

Christine, Thanks again for coming with me on saturday's game (nick went on sunday w/ me) I always seem to go with you to clinching games... what a sign.. we're magic... thanks again for the br stuff... do you know when br and gap take their markdowns??? what else are your plans for the week?

Lamster, always a pleasure to see ya... I'm still feeling stuffed... I'm feeling gross... ugh.. food coma.... Happy early b-day, (dont' worry I'm sure to call you on wednesday and officially greet ya)... you're the best.... when are you going to san diego? are you still going??/

Jefe, you're too funny... I told you you're outfit was great... Julie even said so... aren't u excited about survivor? who do u think is the ultimate survivor???

Reegsta... how come no posts lately? what's happening with you???

finally, my favorite radio station seems to be 92.7 now... I feel like when I'm driving I'm at a club.. it's great.. clubbing 24/7 ... =) and now for the QUESTION OF THE WEEK
What supermarket do you shop at and why???

see ya later

Hola mi amigos!

Today was my first day of school. Let's recap shall we...

*Too many god damn people everywhere. That's what I kept mumbling to myself as I weaved through the gazillions of people on campus. I always assume everyone around me is a freshman and just wait for someone to do something retarded. Then I snicker and think to myself, "dumb freshman."

*I'm gonna start a petition demanding that the university implement a rule which makes it mandatory for all freshman or new transfer students to take some sort of bike-riding training course, similar to driver's training (not that I would know what driver's training is like or anything) because these damn kids are outta control. Number of times I almost got ran over by a dumb freshman: 2. Number of oh-so-close bike accidents: 3. This madness needs to end.

*Today was my first day of Espanol Dos. My professor is ridiculously skinny and gorgeous. The girls sneered (being the catty bitches we are) and the boys smirked as they looked her up and down. This should be interesting. There was only one hot guy in the class who yes, looked like none other than Landon Donovan (don't they all these days. No but seriously, he really was a walking replica of him). But turns out he was in the wrong class and should have been in room 27, not 127. Must have been a dumb freshman.

*Am I sounding like an old hag or what?

*Today I had one of those great hair days where you feel like you're walking around in a Suave shampoo commercial. I love days like this. Note to Phil - I could still kill you for telling me my hair looks like hay. My only dignified, intellectual response to such a comment is..."Yo mama."

*Note to Jeff: You calling me a slut? What are you trying to say, I'm fat? The next MLS game I go to, I'll be sure to wear some AE daisy dukes, a low cut white top, and a turquoise and tan belly-chain type belt. Then I'll definitely live up to the title you've now bestowed upon me.

*Revs won 2-nil over the Fire today. Go Revs!

your MLS whore,

some where in that foggy city....

i have a new favorite place. it's a place where everyone DOESN'T know your name, but they have everything you woud ever want. and lots of it. it's always open. it's clean. it's new. AND.....it has parking!

it's SAFEWAY @ castro!

i'm hooked. i've been there 2 days in a row. i can't help it. everyone is very nice. not ghetto superstar or superficial like the webster st. and marina safeways.

i must be exhausted, guys. i'm talking about a GROCERY store for crying out loud.

HI EVERYONE!!!!

sounds like all has been well here in blogland. i have not been a faithful blogger, but i have been a dutiful reader of the 3FC blog.

nice job REEGS on the pics.....you're turning into a regular old HTML joe. LA LA land was fun....too bad you missed my performance prior to your arrival at 4800.....it's all gravy though...melrose was fun too, but too bad those darn sales girls are too aggressive. good times///good times.

STEFFIE: duder, you know i called you to say happy bday on your actual bday, since i rarely associate you on this thing. but yes, happy happy birthday. you're the best....even if you have a peanut bladder. no go and run that mile. i mean walk. i mean JOG.

PHILLY: i miss you!!! la was fun, but i wish i could have gone to ariel's festivities.....how's work going? what about them giants, huh? WE'RE GOING TO NYC!!!!

JEFE: hiya aggie. hey, i saw a halfie girl the other day and immediately thought of you. she was cute, too. hopefully, you can make it next thursday. i miss your live concert performances!

TAFT: awww...i wish you could make it to 1984. you of all people would rock the hardest to those tunes. it would be so much fun!!! alas, school is a priority. but if i find out that you're @ cantina...bad boa girl!

NAST: i think we should organize a battle of the bay world series tailgate party for the 3FC. mandatory attire: pink flamingo capes and inflatable sword and shield. what do you think?

ECP: have fun next week in the east. hey, what's up w/ you and always going to the east? far east...east coast.....are abnormally tall people always attracted to the east? are they like birds?

FREE ANUP! FREE ANUP!

MISS CHRISTINE: you better get in high impact shopping mode by 10/18! glad to hear that the city of sin was a blast...let's hang out!

LAMSTER; study study study! good job, you have so much discipline! can i take yu out for a champagne study break? or maybe nick and i can bring the study break to you -- in the form of a champagne bottle or a nice 7 mile hike! good luck hon!

did i forget anyone? ah well, i'm tired. adn ER is on right now and everyone has smallpox. freaky. and YES, RWLV is raunchier than ever....IT'S ABOUT DAMN TIME! and SURVIVOR: THAILAND: that dorky skater has to go. he's a loser. so is miss-i-can't-figure-out-a-stupid-puzzle. sheesh. some people!

my fave radio station (right now): 98.1...it's has all the old school KMEL dj's...renel, micheal erickson, etc. they play motown and soul....fun! 2nd runner up: 104.9: good alternative but can sometimes add to my road rage.

good night...sleep tight!

September 25, 2002 @ 10:15pm

One last birthday shout out to Stephanie....and all I can say is this: DA DA DA DADADA TERADA! Sorry Nick Tejada, I had to borrow your line...it was only fitting! Or I can say this: HIP HIP (HAPA) RAY! Since we all know that Steph is mixed and it allows me to use that line once again...it's like the third time I used that line...kinda sad:( Anyways, I hope you had a splenderiffic b-day! By the way you're just plain FRESH since your b-day is in September! Anyone whose b-day is in September is just plain FRESH, so that must include me! I hope you got great presents, but your presence on the blog would be even better and fully welcomed!

So Tomo and I went to the Giants game on Tues. nite....I got free tix so I had to go but I realized even more that my heart is with the youthful A's. I can't believe JT Snow hit a triple....let alone hit a ball out of the infield! Twice! His other hit was a single. We began sitting way above home plate which was a great seat but way too high, so we ended the game in the bleachers then out in right field above the scoreboard where i must say we were cool enough to get on the big screen above barry's homer count after barry launched one.
ED - I guess I might be a lucky charm (btw: when do I NOT possess charm? The ladies can't answer that!) The Giants record for this year when I attended Giants games: 3-0. If I didn't attend these games then they'd be tied with the Draft Dodgers, so you (and whoever else proclaims to be a giants fan) owe me one! Hey I have a poster of landon donovan and jeff agoos that we got from a game...you want it...i definitely don't!

Freak Mike Cameron (of the Mariners). He strikes out like 9 out of 10 times and when he doesn't he hits a homer to keep it honest. So what does he do tonight? He hits a freakin homer off Mecir (of the A's) to win the game! He's prolly the most overrated player in baseball....overrated in the sense that he's rated at all!

TAFT - How you gonna claim the Revolution as your new team and go against "your" Quakes? I didn't know you were like that....jump from one team to another...your like an MLS s**t (read: PLAYA)! If one team can't satisfy you, you go and find another! Just Kidding. Just Kidding! Ouch...i felt that! You just kicked that ball into my nuts. I think you busted-a-nut! Sorry!

PHIL - CONGRATS on passing your exam! You moving on up! Well, all I have to say is "Lite rock, less talk" in response to your question. Yup, you got it...KOIT 96.5 is my fave radio station. I literally BLAST that station more than the hip hop ones. Nothing beats singing along with Shania Twain and having ppl staring at you like what the "f". BTW: Kinda sad the BB3 ended tonight....Lisa def. deserved to win it, but i was amazed at the vote! Them houseguests did sure hold a grudge against Danielle. My new show: The Bachelor.

REEG - kinda funny you asked that question. Me and Tomo were hanging out and talking about old SI folks. He mentioned there's a bar (but forgot the name) in sf that SI ppl frequent...we should all hit it up. Then it lead me to think of SHARON LUK. Didn't know her that well , but i had the priveilege (and what a privilege it was) of having my locker right next to her...she was cool!

NICK - you have that song in your head because? Admit it....you sculpt at home and play that song just to reenact that seen from "Ghost". We should sculpt a gold glove so we can shoot that commercial cuz i have the jerseys ready. Better idea: we shoot that commercail and say "I can't field cuz I can't read braille!"

T-LAM - all i have to say is this: 1 week to go! I can't wait and I think I speak for most of the others! What you say can come back to bite yah. You know how it is. No short short to look forward to, but it might be a good thing!

That's my post...see you guys in 3 weeks
Jefe

Davis, Part 2

Quakes lose 2-1 to the Columbus Crew. If they lose again in Game 2 on Saturday in Columbus, they're out. Done. Finito. And with a 7-game losing streak on the road, things don't look good. Nothing more to say.

Go Revs,

Steph's Birthday

Davis

Happy Birthday Steph!!! Hope you get a chance to read all these lovely birthday messages and (fingers crossed) can post soon. We're anxiously awaiting for your first ever entry. Anyhoo, hope you have a tremendously fabulous day!!

Can't post long, in the middle of listening to the Earthquakes playoff game over an internet radio station. Boy the internet's great isn't it?

Be back post game,
~Taft
nick's notes....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEPH!! maybe now that it's your b-day (and a all new coming of age type thing) u'll share and post something on here....i'd love to read a blog from u

ed - in exhibit A-2.04, u missed out on an important clause that mentions that this is actually my 3rd game this year at pac bell, but that i didn't actually buy any of the tickets of the games i've attended....and that i'm getting my tickets from someone else giving them away, just like your tickets, and just like another one of my friends attending the game today, and just like jefe's tickets for yesterday's game. so what's up w/everyone gettin' rid of their giants tickets - especially during the stretch run....no one ever gave up their A's tickets

ed - i have a couple of janet posters that since i've moved back into home w/my parents i haven't felt quite comfortable enough to put up, so i'd be happy to donate those

phil - much congrats on passing your exam, since u spent so many days in advance studying for it

magic # for the A's....they're already in - and i'm hoping for a bay bridge world series (b/c that would mean that the A's are world champions), and to any of u many giants fans in here - any of u interested in making a litl' wager to see who's team goes further in the playoffs?

favorite radio station - 610 am, that's the A's radio station, where one can listen to the voice of the A's bill king do play by play. plus they play a nice selection of oldies when the A's aren't on

reeg - i think that maybe u should put up a pic of lana lang (kristin kreuk) everytime u post

song which is currently stuck in my head - unchained melody, by the righteous brothers (from the movie ghost)

current dilemma i'm facing - do i trade shaun alexander from my fantasy team??

exhibit A-2.04 in the case between Giants v. As: nick newlin, a die-hard a's fan is attending the Giants game tonight. it will be his second game at Pac Bell this year.

I rest my case.

Happy birthday Steph......you should come visit my place sometime and check-out the pad. i have this cool roommate you might be interested in. i can hook you guys up. whaddaya think?

Request:....anyone with posters or artwork that they no longer have any need for may donate them to the Ant, Alex, and Ed Weightroom Fund for needy children. we're trying to spruce up our gym so any posters or art pieces will be a welcome addition to our currently posterless and artless walls. thanks.

speaking of birthdays.......isn't it convenient that tiff decides to have her birthday when i'm away on business. coincidence...i think not. i once again rest my case.

oh but don't worry....jefe has promised retribution for his birthday experience last week. i heard Payback sucks. you know the movie with mel gibson....yeah i heard payback really really sucks. like throwing up on the street corner kinda sucks. like running around in baseball tights and nutter shorts sucks. like 2 drinks and i'm wasted sucks. like almost being arrested by an off-duty security guard sucks.

well happy birthday tiff. oh and happy birthday to everyone else who decided to have their b-day in Oct., which is just about everyone reading this.

ECP
HAPPY B-DAY STEPH!!!!!
so what are you doing for your birthday? its kinda tough doing something on a wednesday but i'm sure you will do something eventful.

just wanted to shower you with best wishes on your special day!!!!

enjoy and don't drink too much! LOLOLOL
tiff
I PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just wanted to let everyone know that I passed my exam.. I am so relieved.... just had to share....

MAGIC NUMBER : 3
Yup, the giants have a real good chance in making the playoffs.... oooh even more of a possiblity of a bay bridge world series.. wouldn't that be crazy?????

HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEPH... WHAT ARE YOU DOING FOR YOUR BIRTHDAY? do you even read this???

Ok, tha'ts all for now... don't forget to watch the finale of BIG BROTHER 3???

ALSO, did anyone catch on the new real world: las vegas... they already had a three some! wow outrageous stuff.....

Whats crackin' crackheads,

Well I wanted to make a south city trinity post even though we're all displaced now...we all know tiff loves it at davis, no need 2 front...she's secretly having a contest w/ dan to see who can stay in davis the longest...phil's true ghettoness came out when he bought (not rented) a pad in the 'town...like the aau team, he's an oakland soldier...but we all had our roots in the south sucka free...and this is where home will always be...

for those of you who didn't know, the reegsta and his barbarians went to the city of sin this past wknd...and i tell you there is no city aptly nicknamed as this one =) hehehehehe (evil giggle - what J???)...it was pretty tight watching the RWLV premier and then goin to the same place just after...and I echo yick's statements a few blogs ago about the silicone, but i'm not one to argue ;-) ...lunch at caesar's was cool...we ate so much at like 3pm we didn't even get hungry for dinner...and u can't beat champagne brunches...bubbly is for classy drunks ya heard? as for other details of the trip...please visit the underground blog...we gotta keep this piece pg13ish...lets see if yall can figure that one out...

as for the television shows...i caught a minute of survivor...funny how that tommy lee wannabe brought a skateboard...yeah i concur, RWLV looks 2 be interesting...i mean, when are the broads go nude in the first show, how can it not be viewing pleasure? OMG, roughly 20 hrs til the season premier of SMALLVILLE (i know i spell premier wrong, but its in honor of my favorite DJ)...please do yourself a favor and peep this show...9pm on the WB

speaking of which...KRISTIN KREUK and TIGER WOODS share the same birthday...for those of you who don't know, that would be December 30...and it sucks liking a girl who has the exact name as your sister, even the spelling....so i simply refer to her as lana lang...or LL...like sixpence none the richer, there she goes:

Flashback of the week: seeing marc summers of double dare fame hosting that show on the food network

CD purchase of the week: there are some illmatic-level songs on this joint...peep it

Song of the week: Weezer - The Good Life click here to peep it…speaking of which, I’m making me white boy cd volume II…please help me with songs! I’ll make a custom hip-hop for you in exxxhange…

Shoes of the week: Air Jordan IX Retro White/Blue Pearl….just copped these a few hours ago...ain’t they some hot ones?

Freak of the week: ******* ******** there goes that censorship thing again...

Phil I like Power 106 simply for big boy’s neighborhood…it’s the funniest ish, and an good way to start my day…

Here’s my question of the week: Who’s your favorite non-third floor member of the class of 97? Pick a boy and girl...sorry about these Jesuit posts but yall make me nostalgic…mine would be caitlin crawford and ramon rosales….keeping it real w/ the OG last name…

i'm tired, so my bed calls me...

one love,
adrocat nager

The Industrial City

I don’t want to go back to Davis. This past week back home was nice and relaxing. Not to mention full of comedy, thanks to Jeff, Nick, Tiff, Ed, et al. There’s never a dull moment when you have any combination of those people around.

Did you know….that chicken makes great bait for crabs?? I had no idea of this until I went fishing and crabbing with my family this weekend out in Pacifica. We went out to the pier on Saturday night and then again on Sunday, catching a whopping total of 25 crabs! Too bad we found out later that you’re not supposed to really be catching and keeping so many and if we got caught, it would have been a $540 fine. Per crab!! That’s….well I don’t feel like computing the total in my head, but that sure is a hell of a lot of money for some stinkin crabs.

Digital cable is fantastic. I recently discovered three great channels: 1) MTV Jams, which plays hip hop and r&b videos all day long. No VJ’s, no lame MTV shows. Just videos. 2) VHI Soul, which is basically the same as the MTV Jams channel and 3) Fox Sports World. Soccer from all around the world, all day long. Fantastic. The best old school video I caught last night: New Edition’s “Cool it Now.”

It’s official: My new favorite MLS team is now the New England Revolution. Go Revs! And I don't know if anyone recalls back during the World Cup how I kept saying the U.S.'s blue jerseys were bad luck, but I just came across an article by a writer at CNNSI.com who wrote: "Can we retire the U.S.'s blue jerseys now? It was a bad idea from the start to switch from red, the color worn by the Yanks' diehard fans, and the World Cup sealed it. U.S. record in white jerseys: 2-0-1. In blue jerseys: 0-2." Glad to know I wasn't the only one who caught on to the curse of the blue jersey. Sorry, just had to toss that in.

Phil: I did catch Real World: Las Vegas and it looks to be a good season this time around. Chicago sucked ass, but this one looks full of good drama. Re: QOTW: I don't have a favorite radio station, I listen to them all.

September and October sure are jam-packed with birthdays. Next up: Steph on the 25th. Then after that is Tiff Lam on the Oct 2nd (which I know many people are anxiously awaiting for). Then Sylv on the 3rd, Dan on the 17th, and Phil on the 18th! Man oh man, get those livers primed and ready folks. Be sure to give everyone a heads up if any of you are planning a little sumthin sumthin.

Peace out,
~Taft

YAY I came up a little in Reno. For all of you who didn't know, I came up $40... I was actually down $60 but I was able to kick-ass at Circus Circus Roulette table to come up $120.... I was doing so well over there ppl were waiting for me to put down my chips and everyone followed it...It was funny..... speaking of which... for those gamblers out there.. we should all go up to reno for a day or two.. who's up for gambling????

Anyone watch the Emmy last night???? I was a lil disappointed that Six Feet Under didn't get as many emmy (if not really any major ones) and the west wing swept it all....I think six feet under should have one at least a couple of those awards.... How bout that Friends as best comedy..... took long enough... swear they got nominated 4 times and finally one it.... anyone see that bernie Mac Outfit.. that was hideous.. that's a for-sure worst dressed outfit....

Anyone watch Survivor:Thailand... I swear its battle of baywatch v beverly hillbillies.... what was that grandma thinking picking all the old people.... speaking of reality tv... I'm sad to see that Big Brother 3 is finally ending on Thursday.... For those of you who don't watch it you should watch Thursday.. Bay area favorite Danielle is going up against socal hottie Lisa the bartender.. who will win... tune in Thursday... also did anyone catch real world: Las vegas? is it any good??

Ok, I forgot to answer regan's question... I wear my watch on the right b/c I am left handed ... and plus I wear a bracelet usually on my left.. so both wrists are usually covered...

QUESTION OF THE WEEK: What's your favorite radio station and why????

I'll answer mine later on this week.. Until then. adieu.
