Someone stop Tiff.. her drunken blog kills me.... Man that must be a genuine drunk blog b/c I can't even imagine Tiff saying any of that (or at least phrasing anything like that)....
Ok so anywayz.. I just have to recap some Reality TV for all my fans:
American Idol.. - Thank God for the boot last week of Carmen Rasmussen.. she needed to go and she had too much acne... so not cute... tonight's performance showed two things: 1)Anyone can go home at this point (since almost everyone had a bad critique except clay {who i still don't think should win at all}) and 2) Josh is Sinara... he's god awful and needs to be on nashville star... wait I don't know if he's good for even that..
The Bachelor - I find it so weird how the bachelor lives in San Francisco.. Everyone at my work is stalking him over in the marina area (where he lives).... Now that's he's finally cut psycho Liz... he's really gotten down to the final four: The Fine Kirsten, "I won't let him Kiss me" Tina Fabulous, Christina "I need a 1on1 date" , and Jen "the sweet most likely america's favorite"..... Though Jen probably is the most genuine and nice... Kirsten got it going on... damn I even think she's hot.. and that says something.... Man Christina, Tina, Jen, should go (in order for first to last)... Kirsten all the way! (I don't care what you say she's hot!)
Real World/Road Rules: Can you believe it is still f*ckin on... that's ridiculous.. could have sworn I was 18 when this first aired... Girls screwed themselves bigtime... freakin Lori in the top 3... that's how you know they killed off all the good girls... like Rachel, Veronica, Ayanna... I can understand Ellen and Ruthie.. but Lori.. and freakin Melissa is the top 4...she couldn't even do any of the height challenges... more power to the men if they can win it... Colin, Mark, and Jamie.. kick their ass!!!! and let them god damn long-running show over already!
Ok enough about that.. just had my championship volleyball celebration... like I mentioned before... .my team won the championship and league for the 3rd times in the last 5 seasons (the other two we lost in the finals).... so technically we won the last 11 games we played this season.... woohoo. can't wait for my next season to start

DAMN, party up in here at the blogspot. Haven't seen this much action since.....uhhh, no comment. Championships are just around the corner. 45 hours and 21 minutes away, not that I'm keeping count or anything. I can't believe it's already Thursday. I need about three more days to prep for this weekend.
I had a strange dream last night. I dreamt that my team was in the middle of playing their first round game against Chico when one of my players gets tripped up and falls to the ground. As she gets up, this girl from Chico's team comes up to her and steps all over my player's hand with her cleat. So my player gets up and punches the girl in the face and knocks her out. The ref then comes running in and gives my player a red card and throws her out of the game. So then here I come rushing the field and I start yelling at the ref for that red card. And what do you know, she goes and pulls out another red card and I get ejected from the game! I had to be escorted home and was told that I couldn't come back to the field for the rest of the weekend! Then I woke up screaming.
Anyone good at dream interpretations want to tell me what's going on there? I sure hope it wasn't a premonition.
Yo Jeff, funny that you mentioned One Shining Moment (the lacrosse remix) in your blog because I'm actually giving my players a copy of the original lyrics for some motivation coming into this tournament...Phil, your wish has finally come true, Carmen has gotten the boot. I thought it would never happen....Regan Alba, MTV's showing a bunch of Punk'd episodes tonight at midnight.

Hey all,
MY TEAM WON THE CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!... After losing in the finals the last two seasons..we finished strong.... Our semifinal game was against the men's division... luckily... we were able to capitalize on their sloppy play and their inability to return some serves... we won in straight sets narrowly escaping a second set lost (15-13) to move on to the finals which was played at 7pm... and who would have guessed that we would be playing the lowest seed of the playoffs (the team that finished 1-9 and is also my manager's team).... we thought it would be an easy game.. but it was the toughest match of the season.. after losing the 1st set 15-10... we played the 2nd set strong and took that set.... our 3rd game we came out like fire stringing 5 straight points.. taking a 5-0 lead... the other team took a timeout which was very smart of them b/c they came back with 4 point of their own.... they went ahead and took a 13-10 lead.... somehow luck was on our side, we dived, blocked, did whatever we could and came back to win 13-15.... WOOHOO my first time as captain and my team wins!!!!... must be all about me!
just had to share... hope the same luck happens with tiff!!!!!

Hey all,
Anyway just wanted to congratulate Tiff on being 1st seed of the north division... make us proud and get to nationals... Sounds exciting.... By the way, how long were you in south city.. I was in South City this weekend too... In any case...
Tiff's not the only one who has a team who made 1st seed... Yes my v-ball team at work finished 1st for the regular season (9-1) winning the last 9 games of the season... (so for those of you doing the math, we only lost our first game of the season).... Our playoffs start at 6pm tomorrow (monday apr 21)..We play the 4th seed (basically almost an all-male powerhouse).... we've beaten them twice in the regular season but you know that doesn't matter now.... If any of you are interested in coming to the game (if we win the semis we get to play in the finals at 7).... call me...
Punk'd is one of my favorite shows.. I love the one they do to Kelly Osbourne.. she's so obnoxious.. it's classic... Also I love the wrong she does with the girl from buffy, bring it on (eliza..somethin-);... Anyone seen scare-tactics on Sci-FI.. that sh*t is off the hook... They basically try to take a scene from a scary movie and re-enact it and everyone in on it except the victim who freaks out... I swear I was rolling off the floor....
American Idol .. all my faves are still in Trenyce, Kim L, and Reuben.... woohoo... Carmen you better go down this week.. if not you, then Mr. Marine....
Kavan Reese: Who would have thought he'd be an actor... and being kissed by another dude if I read that site right... hmm. the things you do for acting...

Yup, people, I was sick again like for the third time since the year started. But it was nice to stay home from work again...I way miss that! I gotta watch Jerry Maguire. Kelly Preston is still way hot. You guys remember her in TWINS? Kinda cool her name was Avery in Jerry Maguire....she definitely got more play in that movie than William Avery (of Duke) ever did in the Association. Actually, on the serious tip, I think I might have the SARS virus. You know the Sick Again Really Sucks virus! As a matter of fact, let me pose this question to you all (like a question of the week thang)...Do you prefer yellow, green or brown phlegm? I personally like green cuz it looks like slime! Especially after you drink Ecto Cooler!

And yesterday had all the drama of day 1 of an NC2A tourney...Yall watch that spurs/SUNS game?? OMG. The greatest opening game EVER. On the reality tip: Yeah Jeff I was hella waiting for someone to sing "Uptown Girl"...and guys he really does BLAST 96.5 KOIT whereever he goes...like that last time we went to the driving range, that song from PRETTY WOMAN was rumbling from his speakers...Nick can attest to this...but for real, CARMEN gets no love..but she still in it! must be the whole Mormon vote...I honestly don't watch any other reality TV besides AI and Smallville...only 5 more episodes to go!
By the way, I'm goin to Vancouver this upcoming wknd w/ the GF...(they film SV up there)...holler if anyone been there and suggest anything to do...

VENGEANCE, FINALLY! My team finally got the last laugh on Santa Clara today as we pulled through a tough game and came out victorious, beating the Broncos 6-5 earlier this afternoon in playoffs (during our first matchup of the season, we lost in double overtime 11-12; the second game, we lost again by a single goal, 9-10). With the win, we head into the WWLL Elite Eight tournament as the top seed of the North Division. Championship weekend is next Saturday and Sunday in Davis.The top 8 teams of the west will duke it out for the league championship title and a trip to the national tournament in St.Louis, Missouri. Wish us luck!

Ha! So get this. I just finished watching the movie "Rules of Attraction" with some friends. It's the one with Dawson, the girl from 40 Days and 40 Nights (you know, the one Jeff was obsessed with), and that Jessica Biel chick from that other WB show. The movie itself was pretty trippy, but the best part - Kavan Reece's little cameo in the beginning. Yall remember Kavan Reece from SI right? Well I sure as hell did cause I thought he was hella cute. Anyway, it's definitely him because I made my friends check the credits out at the end of the movie and sure enough, there was his name listed as the "handsome dunce!" Classic.
I thought that I first saw him on TV on "That 70s Show" a while back, then dismissed it out of my head completely until I saw this movie. What a trip.
And for anyone interested, here's a link to Mr. Reece's fine piece of acting that I came across. Being the bored-with-nothing-to-do dork that I am, of course I searched the net to see what hard evidence I could come up with to prove all naysayers wrong.

I've been wondering when would be setup... however with the unpredictable rain.. who knows.. I saw we have one in the next two weeks... I mean most of us made it to Tiff's picnic thing so why not have another shindig somewhere....
Also, American Idol... what can I say but.... can CARMEN JUST GET OUT ALREADY... she is definitely the Nicki McKibbin of the 2nd season.. always getting in the bottom 3, but somehow always managing to survive... it's ridiculous... Kim C wasn't the best but she ain't the wrost.. especially from last night's performance.. literally Carmen sucked... you know she sucked b/c Paula didn't even have one nice thing to say about her.. In any case.. maybe Carmen staying in the game will solidify Trenyce and Kim L to top 5... My faves are Kim L (ever since her somehwere over the rainbow rendition I can't get enough of her.. and plus she's plus size....) Trenyce (probably b/c I'm still having Tamyra withdrawl) and Reuben (he kinda looks like the guy in my dept).... anyway Clay and Josh are my least fave (even though Clay can sing, he's just not american idol)..... did I mention I bought the Kelly Clarkson CD? I listened to it.. it's actually pretty interesting... not really ballads.. more Christina Aguilera rockish... if that means anything...
The Bachelor - Can I just say that Kirsten got it going on.... she is my pick.. Andrew needs to pick her.. she's way to hot for him not to pick her... and Liz is skitzo.. she needs to go... I just love watching her at every Rose ceremony b/c she seems like she's about to have a nervous breakdown.. I can't wait to see her let go....

4/15/03 - TAX Day
Well, first off, today was my one year anniversary at work. I can't believe it's been that quick!
Anyways, I was wondering if we wanted to get a new picture for this site by playing another softball/baseball game. I'm actually getting the itch to play again. I hope all you all are to. Also, we can go low budget on this year's uniforms. At Big 5, they got lots and lots of those baseball tees with the colored sleeves for about $6.99-8.99. No numbers or logos this year if you guys don't want it. If you all do, then I'll start the sweatshop again after May 19 when my class ends.
I love this episode of American Idol with Billy Joel songs. It's like all the songs I sing to on KOIT. Did I ever tell you all that KOIT is the best station ever! I blast it at work and in my car all the time now. Why ain't any of them singing "Uptown Girl?" Maybe Clay or Trenyce will sing it...they're the only ones left at the moment I write this.
Finally, I can't believe I'm saying this, but I so miss college life. Just a simple trip to Davis made me long to have them college days back. I haven't missed that town at all until I experienced it again.
Please let me know if you're interested in softball again.

I love digital cable. ESPN2, Fox Sports Net, and Fox Sports World are all broadcasting several MLS games this season. That's a whole lotta soccer love for me. And ESPN Classic is showing the best games from this year's college tourney tomorrow (Sunday) afternoon: UNC-Wilmington/Maryland, 'Zona/Zags, and Syracuse/Kansas.
I just had to share my excitement. Time to get my drink on.

Guess I'll end the blogging drought and submit the first blog of April.
...Life without school is fantastic.
...I finished dead last in our college bball pool. Who would've thought that Syracuse would win it all. I didn't see that one coming.
...Luke Walton from Arizona is actually kinda cute (I know I'm gonna get fried by the fellas for saying that one). But since I've already thrown it out there, I'll go ahead and add that I also like Luke Ridnour and JJ Redick. :-) And why not hop on the Syracuse train while we're at it and throw baby-faced Carmello Anthony in there too.
...Was a little disappointed in this year's "One Shining Moment." Luther just wasn't doing it for me.
...Reuuuuben will be the next American Idol. If I'm as wrong in my American Idol choosing as I was in the tourney, I'll give up TV and these silly reality shows.
...My team lost to Santa Clara on Sunday 10-9. It was definitely a heartbreaker, but we're sure to see them again in playoffs.
...Picnic Day (aka the official drunken party day of UC Davis) is this Saturday, so I'm sad that I won't be able to make it to Tiff's BBQ because I'll probably be hungover, lying beside a toilet somewhere in town.

...Movie Recommendation: Chicago and the 8 Mile DVD, for the extra footage
