Hey party people, how's it hangin? Hope everyone's getting excited about the dinner. I'll be giving you all a call sometime soon to confirm what exactly you're bringing. Thanks to those that have responded to the evite. And to those who I've talked to and I know you're coming, I went ahead and responded for you. Oh the power of evite's host options.

Everyone should check out Phil in action at his volleyball games (I think they start up again in Feb? Ask Phil). Christine, Michelle, Ariel and I went to cheer his team on as they won their league championship. Go Mervyn's! I think Captain Phil's the only one who ever brings his own cheering squad. But I'm sure Phil will post sometime soon to give the details of the match (hint, hint), so keep an eye out for that.

Reeg, I'm waiting to hear about your adventures in Cancun. When you gonna update your blog?

TiffL - I agree on the Brit can't sing part, but dang the girl can dance her butt off. I think the Britney media storm will calm down now that her album's out. I actually enjoyed some of these "exclusive" interviews, but it's definitely time for the media to focus on someone else now.

9 days til the dinner, but more importantly (sort of, at least to me) 4 days til the 2003 MLS Cup, live on ABC at 12:30. San Jose vs. Chicago, the best matchup in the history of the league. Wish I could be there in person to watch. Viewing party at my house for some Sunday afternoon futbol action.

GO QUAKES!

fooooorrrtttyyyyyyy niners!

Only 10 more days til our after-turkey-day debacle! Wooohoo! Taft said we can bring our drink of choice so I will bring sparkling apple cider and hot chocolate. No alcohol for me since I am still recovering from the Halloween party, which I really don’t remember too much of. But hey, that’s the definition of a good party, right =)

Sorry I couldn’t make it to your v-ball game Phil, or shall I say Champion Phil?!?!? Hey, if you really want to get rid of some of your clothes, we can go to a swap party together. You bring clothes to trade with other people. I’m not sure if they’ll be a lot of men’s clothes but I can check. The party is on Dec 8th if anyone else is interested.

Biggest grip for the week: Why is Britney Spears on every freakin channel every freakin night? Talk about horroring herself to the media. I understand that she wants to promote her new album after such a long break but jesus, its too much. If I have to see another “exclusive interview” with her, I’m gonna puke. That BIATCH (who can't see or write songs) needs to go.

Best thing that has happened this week so far: 49ERS!!!!! After the first half of the season, I thought that we wouldn’t have a chance to make it to the playoffs. But Rattay and the defense are stepping up, giving us a shot for a postseason run. GOD, I LOVE FOOTBALL.

On a similar note, my thumb got jammed playing football on Sunday. Didn’t know thumbs were so important until now. Can’t really hold a pen properly, or put my hair up, or change gears in my car, or use my remote. Geez, its been tough. But I think I will make it.

So I will see everyone next week. Have a wonderful Tuesday and rest of the week =)

Adieu!
Tiff

A FulPhilling Weekend

Hello Everyone....

I figured I'd post and amuse all you voyeur bloggers out there... I have officially started heaven and ended my hell at Mervyn's... Yes Phil has been promoted and have MUCH more time on my hands.... I can actually surf the web and actually say "I'm done" and feel accomplished... No more weekends for me!!!!! Whoopie!!!! Hopefully the job I have will keep me busy though b/c otherwise I'll dose off.... And for those of you who dont' know.. I have been officially diagnosed with Sleep Apnea... Yes... I did some home test with a breathing machine and they have said I am abnormal.... so it explains my super loud snoring plus my reasons why I am always so sleeping in the day.... Anyway just had to share... Went to Ed's Dim-Sum free-lunch congratulations you made it.. lunch.... The food was great, the company was awesome as well.. however I was a bit disappointed in not winning anything (everyone knows what a gambler I am).... anyway.... it was nice seeing everyone and just made me realize how much older we have all gotten over the years... *Sigh*... now Tiff's having her usual feast again... how many have we had???? Also have we all thought about the white elephant gift exchange?? Are we going to have it again with only our group of friends or are we going to have it with all of us and all of our other friends.... just wondering.... Anyone willing to host that one??? I figured I'd ge the ball rolling....and also how bout that garage sale... tiff???? you still interested?? I haven't heard your response it... Ok see you all later

GARAGE SALE GARAGE SALE

Ok everyone,
PHil has returned to blogging... by popular demand I have decided to blog especially now that I will start my new job on monday and have lots more time on my hands.. Also, I wanted to start the initiative about getting a garage sale going.. I think Tiff mentioned she might be cool to have it at her place.. I am so down!! How bout you all.. before the rainy season starts.... what does everyone think...??

thanks all for everyone who came to my b-day.... see those of you who are going to anthony's!!!
I highly recommend that everyone check out the archives, the really old ones. For some reason, the links weren't working before. But today was my lucky day and I got completely sucked in to the very entertaining blogs of the old days. Anyway I just had to pull out this little gem I found, thanks to rapmaster Jeff. Dated back to Sunday January 13, 2003, back before he was ever a Metrosexual, he had his hit single "Ante Up".......

Jefe, spit mad game but been deprived of sects, call up all the hotties in my Rola-dex, of cards we can play strip POKER, naked girls run round cuz I possess the JOKER, quite sexy with nothing on but their chokers, taking off my shirt ain't no prob cuz I'm so buff, I keep it STRAIGHT...no need to BLUFF. Girls arses in my face all night long...I'm all in a hush, I can't wait to get my next FLUSH, not 1 but 2000 of them, puffing the mj straight from the stem, puff puff give you f-ing up the rotation, my originality leads to straight imitation.

Chorus/hook:
Ante up, ante up, let the chips reign down
Ante up, ante up, vegas is my town
Ante up, ante up, gonna build up my pride
Ante up, ante up, let it ride, let it ride!

Cruising down the Strip in my drop down jeepney, escalades and navis pass me up cuz i can only go fifty, digging the girls like they dig my gold, too many breasts for my one hand to hold, one hand on the phone one hand on the silicone, press the magic button to hear the girls moan.
But back to the game, the girls yell HIT ME with every hand, but lucky am I to always STAND, PAT on my back, KINGS coming up STRAIGHT with the JACKS, ROYAL FLUSH I throw down...pow pow! Give me my skrill...PAI GOW PAI GOW! Am I a STUD or am I a STUD?
The same is said for the rest of the hands, clothes coming off and all the skrill I be stealing, pulling up ACE after ACE, phat hands I'm revealing, looking around at my girls I ask myself...do they dig me for my thug appeal or my POKER face?

Now that's some classic stuff. Think I'm gonna start pulling some noteworthy quotes out of the old blogs. Maybe that'll get the party started in here again. Or maybe not, we'll see.
~Taft
Hola mi amigos!! Yay for Tiff keeping the blog alive. What a trooper. Wow Halloween's already tomorrow and I can't wait to see what to see everyone's costumes.

I originally posted all of this on my blog (::Breakfast at Tiffany's:: - shameless plug, yes I know). But I just had to share with everyone, since apparently Reeg and Sylv are the only ones who venture out to read my blog. Sad face. Pity plug, yes I know. Anyhoo, with the Niners having so much trouble in the kicking department, it looks like they'll have to take a hint or two from the soccer world. Read on....

From the San Francisco Chronicle
::How about soccer kicker? / QB Garcia suggest Donovan::
From the San Jose Mercury News
::Hey, Niners, Donovan hit a 60-yarder::

I'd pay good money to see Landon Donovan in a football uniform. But that's just me. Anyway, I just wanted to chime in and say hi to any 3rd floor blogspot dwellers. It's been so long since I last posted that I almost forgot the ID and password. Hope to see everyone tomorrow night.

muddy buddy

happy tuesday to everyone! i mean happy tuesday to anyone who still visits this thing =)

hope everyone enjoyed the weekend...can't believe it was so friggin hot. Not that I'm complaining since this heat wave is probably the last chance i get to retain my tan before i return to my blinding white color.

so on saturday, a couple of us had our 3rd annual pumpkin carving party. i totally forgot how bad pumpkins smell =) but it was fun listening to some outkast while carefully carving my masterpiece. i carved a witch over a caldron...kinda tricky but it turned out pretty good. i just hope that it will last til halloween.
on sunday, i woke up at the crack of dawn (at 5:00a) to get ready for MUDDY BUDDY!!! can i say freakin ridiculous!! i had to bike the first leg of the race, which was pretty much the steepest hill i have ever walked, let alone bike. i only biked about 40-50ft from the START line before i fell off my bike!!! world record for biggest loser right here. so i casually picked up my biked and walked alongside it for a whole mile...UPHILL!! i was royaly pissed that it was so hard on the first part of the race. besides that, the race was fun with all the obstacles. i had to jump over a wall, run through tires, swing on monkey bars, crawl under a cargo net, climb and descend down a cargo net, and of course, crawl through a puddle of mud. that was the best part..it was so freakin hot i jumped right into my cool mud bath. they had a fire hose to clean everyone off...the guy who held the hose got to see a lot of boobies and butts. some of the ladies really really wanted to get clean =) so that was my muddy buddy experience...i will post some pix as soon as i get them. i will do this again next year so if anyone wants to do this, let me know so we can start training =)

so everyone's goin to DAE's party right? i decided on what i wanted to be but figuring out the logistics and engineering of it is givin my a TUMOR. which probably means that i will need to buy an outfit on thursday nite. ugh. serves me right to wait until the last minute.

that's it from me...hope everyone is having a great week! enjoy the weather while it lasts. see everyone on friday!

revisited

hola peeps! i figured its about time to get this thing started up again. i know some of you have strayed from here but i'm hoping that you will make special guest appearances and drop everyone a hello. summer has come to an end and fall is upon us. i'm so excited! fall and winter are my favorite seasons. i get to wear all my sweaters, scarves, beanies, thermals, long underwear...um, i guess you guys get the point. and yes, i am extremely excited that snowboarding season is just around the corner. i love doing face plants...that's the best!
seemed like everyone had a fun time at phil's partay. apparently, i missed some good singing and metrosexual activity. wished i was there to see it. if people have pix, please share because i really did miss the festivities.
anyways, just wanted to post and say hi to everyone.
Have a great tuesday!!

So stop on by clicking below...

monday 1:29am

(taps microphone)...is this thing on?

i don't know if anyone even reads this anymore, but i'll take my chances.

house renovation sucks. right now it's less renovating and more tossing of 20-something years worth of junk out. i don't see the end of this process coming for another month. so if you ever happen to drop by, please excuse the mess.

i'm all about the Wade Robson Project on MTV. haven't missed a single episode. man, mtv keeps dishing out hit after hit. first newlyweds, which i honestly only watch to see how dumb jessica simpson is this week. and now wade "i'm the real reason brit and justin broke up" robson has his own gig. makes you go hmmm don't it? but i don't care, i love this show. but i'm wonderin why all these gymnasts think they must automatically be great dancers. sorry but the triple mctwistin aerial backflips aren't cuttin it for me. not when you're tryin to do your thang to sean paul. my favorite are the fellas who shake their booties like they just came out of a beyonce video. hot stuff.

coming attraction: following in the footsteps of fellow bloggees who moved from the 3rd floor to their own individual penthouse suites upstairs, i too will be setting up shop soon. so stay tuned folks.

peace,
~ taft

Friday, August 22, 2003

hi all! let me rephrase that - hi taft and sylv! well thanks for the support (comments and such) on my blog...i told ya I'd still post here! yeah snup's bday is around the corner...not sure what he's gonna do...

man, 1st big al doesn't have his picnic...and no one blogs anymore...and snup's probably not gonna have a celebration...and no one blogs anymore...and whats next? no post t-day dinner?!?! man...is the 3rd floor crumbling? maybe we should have a retreat at dan's house haha...or a day in healdsfield, or healdstown, or whatever that dang place is called...

oh yeah, tiff's campaign slogans:

Give Davis the Shaft. Bring in TAFT!
We need Sass. We need Bass! (your new nickname, just like Lance)
We don't want any Tiff. We want Tiffany!

Her main platform would have nothing to do w/ the deficit, but rather turning LAX into the ultimate lacrosse venue instead of an airport, for it to truly live up to its name.

anyways, keep it real...i'm 5K

peace in,

Monday 8.18.03
11:20 PM
Watching: The Daily Show

Hey I should change the picture up top to one of just me since I seem to be the only one still blogging on this thing. Ollie ollie ox n free, ok guys you can all come out now. Anyone? Is this thing on?

Answer: Caddyshack, Chevy Chase
Answer2: Fight Club, Brad Pitt

New quote: "“Well all I'm saying is that I want to look back and say that I did it the best I could while I was stuck in this place. Had as much fun as I could when I was stuck in this place. Played as hard as I could when I was stuck in this place.”

This Road Rules cast sucks. All they do is bitch, complain, lose missions, and replace one lame castmember with another equally annoying castmember who whines and complains even more. Listen to me, I'd fit right in. I think the producers need to take part of their handsome reward away for everytime they lose a mission. Then maybe we'll see some real effort out of these road rulers.

With all the news of the east coast blackout, I was suddenly reminded of that one Sportscenter commercial. The one where the power goes out in the building and Dan Patrick checks the problem out and finds Lance Armstrong taking a rest on his bike in the generator room. Those crazy Sportscenter guys, always coming up with entertaining commercials.

Thumbs Up:
-The Daily Show...it's how the news should be told. Jon Stewart rocks.
-Queer Eye for the Straight Guy...funny as hell, but those guys also give out great tips. I think all the guys should get together and watch and learn. The episode where they made over the guy proposing to his girlfriend was quite the tearjerker. Tres romantique. Catch the repeats on Bravo if ya can.
-Mary J Blige's "Love at First Sight"....Diddy and Mary J working together again, of course it's gonna be a hit.
-The Chris Rock promos for the MTV VMA's....I can't wait for the show.

Ollie ollie ox n free,
~Taft for CA governor
(Since it seem like any Joe Shmoe can run, why can't I? Regan, you're in charge of my campaign slogans.)

WHAT A BUMMER...

Unfortunately, it looks like the cocktail party has to be postponed until further notice. My mom is planning to paint the entire inside of our house and the painter guys start this Friday. Bummer. We probably won't be able to have it for a few weeks, until the painting's done and all that paint smell has subsided. If I happen to see any of you next week and I look a little wigged out or high, it's probably because of the paint. No, really.

Bummer,

7:45 PM
South City
Listening to: "The Last Song" by The All-American Rejects

Hey party people,

Regan - I meant to blog and identify your quote from the always classic Billy Madison, but I never got around to it. Really, I did know where it was from. Anyway, here's one back at you (or anyone else who would like to contribute...)
"A flute without holes is not a flute. A donut without a hole is a danish."

And another one for kicks...
"It's only after you've lost everything that you're free to do anything."

I just returned yesterday from a week long family vacation in LA and San Diego. For the most part I had a good time, but I could have done without some of the family drama that came about. My skin definitely got darker (but not to the point where I changed ethnicities on ya) and the hair got lighter. Made some quality purchases, including 3 newsboy-style caps ($2 each), 2 pairs of sunglasses ($3 each) and 3 pirated DVD's ($5 each). That's my kind of shopping. But now I'm pooped. Over the course of the past two weeks, I went from Davis to Sonoma to LA to San Diego, back to LA again and now I'm home.

Missed out on quite a bit of reality TV. Someone catch me up on all the action (ahemm Phil).

I'm going to eat, then hit the sack.
~Taft

P.S. Cocktail party at my house this weekend. Friday or Saturday? Think about it. I'll be giving you all a ring soon.
HELLO!!!!?!?!?! Where is everyone?? Must I answer my own question?? Okay, the answer is Billy Madison, and the character played is Chris Farley.

You know, I grew up in a fam of 9 people, so I'm not used to talking to myself. Please, we don't want this site to go the ways of New Edition, A Tribe Called Quest, The Carpenters,The Fat Boys, Guy, and Wilson Phillips...we can't disband!

Post like some cereal yall!! C'mon, your lives can't be as uneventful as mine!

Okay, I know I violated Commandment VI - Thou shall not post back 2 back blogs. But drastic times call for drastic measures.

In case yall forgot: its universalid, then universal.

aight, enough of this rant....visit my site!

Listening to: "Still on my Brain" by Justin Timberlake

Just poppin in to say hi. How is everyone doing these days? As you can see by my blog login time, I'm awake at a whoppin five in the morning. Think I'm morphing back into my insomniac self.

Bartending rocks. If you'd like to hire me for private parties or events, do give me a ring. I really need to take a break from all this bartending stuff though because I'm starting to even dream about these frikkin drinks. Not good. Almost makes me feel like I'm an alcoholic.

Hope yall are doing well. Drop by and give us a heads up on things. I'm out.

Ooooh I haven't blogged in awhile... Looks like blogger has a new template when you blog... for those of you who don't know what I mean.. it's probably b/c you haven't try blogging... but in anycase... I love the blogger voyeurs anyway...

As far as music and what I listen to... I personally love top 20/hip hop/ dance music... I actually listen to 97.3, 92.3 (or is it 92.7), 94.9 and 106.1 I occasionally listen to but mainly I listen to my CD's. (wiht a 6 CD-disc changer, I dont' have to hassle changing my CD's.. currently in car

1) Kelly Clarkson
2) Janet Jackson
3) Christina Aguilera? (I can't remember this one)
4) One of my NOW Cd's
5) Michelle Branch ( I really like this new CD)
6) Beyonce (with the exception of a couple I find this very disappointing)

Anyway have been pretty busy as of late... most of my department has worked has gotten promoted so I'm techincally the longest analyst there now.. can you believe it... but in any case, I"m still hoping for that silver lining when I get promoted (if ever)...

Anyway I am still watching my reality TV shows... my favorites are:
1) Amazing Race (I knew the oldies had to go)
everyone else is pretty equal
2) Paradise Hotel.. I just love it b/c people are good-looking
3) America's Top Model
4) Surf Girls

My least favorites
1) For love or money (just seems really unappealing)
2) Last Comic Standing
3) American Juniors (for some reason I'm not interested in it w/o Mr Cowell)

So yeah my cable now has more channels.. so i've been watching the GAME SHOW network nonstop... can I just say I love WHAMMY and FRIEND OR FOE? anyone watch those??? crazy... also does anyone watch endurance??? (it's the kid version of survivor in teams)

Tidbits-
Regan - Sorry I didn't take you to a game yet... I really didin't think you like baseball... (isn't it too slow for ya? oh wait you're a golfer n/m)

Tiff B - I swear if you keep cleaning, you need to help me clean over here.. it' sgetting messier and messier.. ugh...

Ok I"m out. see y'all later!

The Music Issue

Sunday 6.29.03
11:01 PM
South City
Listening to: "The Young and the Hopeless" by Good Charlotte

Ok, so I guess this is gonna be the continuation of the South City show, starring Regan, Phil and yours truly. So until anyone else decides to blog, yall will just have to be guest stars.

When I'm not cleaning my room or fixing up the house, I'm watching a whole lot of music videos. I've recently rediscovered the one and only California Music Channel (man, I remember the days before cable and MTV entered my life and I had to rely on CMC for my daily music video fix). Plus I've got MTV, MTV2, VH1, and the all music video channels on digital cable. That's a whole lotta videos. As such, this blog shall be deemed the music issue.

2 Wishes and 2 Wonders: Temporarily wish that I was Britney Spears. Did anyone catch that VH1 special on her and the fabulous life she lives. Oh to be Britney with 50 million dollars at your disposal. Second wish: that I could dance like them dancers in Sean Paul's videos. Yo Dan, hook a girl up....Wondering if that Jason Mraz guy is supposed to be the new John Mayer...Also wondering if Blink 182 is gonna come out with another album soon. I miss their hijinks.

Beware: To all you music downloaders, the RIAA may be after you. So I'd stop sharing all my mp3 files if I were you. Better to be safe than sorry my ass got charged 10g's per song.

Top 5 Songs of the Week:
1) "Rock Wit U" by Ashanti...I'm still diggin this song
2) "Faint" by Linkin Park...that video still gets my heart pumpin every single time. I want to be a video director just so I can make brilliant videos like that.
3) "Feelin Freaky" by Nick Cannon and B2K...long live my love for cheesy teen pop
4) "Where's the Love" by Black Eyed Peas...more like "Ummm...So Where's Justin Timberlake" in their video, dammit. All good though because the song's sweet.
5) "The Young and the Restless" by Good Charlotte...normally I find this band obnoxiously annoying, but I'm feelin this song. But the video for "boys and girls" with all the old people is funnier.

Honorable mentions: "Last Song" by All-American Rejects and "Best of Me" by The Starting Line (cute ode to Say Anything video). As you can tell, I'm in a bit of a rock upswing in my music preference right now). Regan - there's nothing wrong with my music taste, it's just fine, thanks. Hip hop's on the backburner for the moment, but I'm always open to hear who's on your radar.

And finally, in the reject pool: that Joe Budden guy and Jewel's TRL wannabe song/video "Intuition."

So, what are you guys listening to?

Holla,
~Taft

Where the party at?

WHERE THE PARTY AT?
Because its not here! Hello all, hope everyone is doing well. As a blog resident, I vote that we lift the ban off non-OG south city heads from posting. So besides myself, P-Diddy, and T-Bas, everyone else may now contribute. And they've even tweaked the BLOGGER a bit, giving us even more incentive to post! I've been sticking to the same recurring topics lately because...well, thats what I like! So I speak on it. I should just create a template within a template so I can already have a skeleton established yeah?

SPORTS...
1. Big props to J-Lu for bringing reegsta to his first giants game at pacbell (even though I technically brought us there)...if KK were a park, she'd be Pac Bell. Great environment and atmosphere, totally the opposite of how I remember Candlestick, and I could only imagine the energy and electricity (damn ulitilities!) of that place during the postseason.
2. The draft: I hate Jay Bilas. Who does he think he is? Simon Cowell? Anyways, thought the GSW drafted on talent and potential, though Pietrus may turn into a gem. With the Warriors luck however, don't count on it. I doubt 'Bron will have a better 1st year than Stoudemire.
3. Terrell Brandon went to the University of Oregon. So he is a Duck. And with that, Jeff is a Drunk.

VENTS...
1. There's some things you just don't skimp on. I freakin HATE imitation cotton swabs. Q-Tips all the way.
2. Heinz Ketchup is soooo much better than other ketchups out there.
3. I cringe when I see blatantly fake kicks on ppl.
4. I'm below pace for my workout schedule. For those that do, what motivates you?

MUSIX...
1. Spent a c-note at http://www.sandboxautomatic.com. I'm bound to find ish I'll like!
2. Mos Def, Pharoahe Monch and Talib Kweli anyone? July 11 I believe.
3. Dang Tiff B I thought you had better music taste haha.

KICKS...
1. There seems to be some NIKE animosity on this board, but I won't say names. Who's last name rhymes with Bam?? Ooops! Anyways, to appease those, Reeg bought 2 pairs of Converse. Good ol American shoes. (Well not really, it was just an excuse to buy them).
2. Tiff B has a cool cousin, an employee at Foot Locker Hillsdale. I got a pair of retro Jordans for $13.99. No Joke. Yes they are brand new. Retail for $125. Too bad they're not my size, so eBay here I come.

FLICKS...

Fri/Sat 6.21.03
1:13 AM
South City

*For the week of June 14 - 21:
DISLIKE: The fact that an 18-year old KID can score a 90 million dollar endorsement deal.
LIKE: Real World Paris, for now.
LOVE: The new Linkin Park video for "Faint." Great direction, great images, great kick your ass song.
STILL LOVE: Justin Timberlake and his fine self.
REALLY LOVE: Hugh Grant. Liked him after "Bridget Jones' Diary," loved him in "About a Boy", but now I just plain love the bugger more after "Two Weeks Notice." Can't go wrong with an English accent and some charming humor.
HOT: Accents. Examples include RW Paris castmember Ace with that great Georgia drawl (which sounds more like a Texan, "ain't that right brother") and again, Hugh Grant.

Good night and have a marvelous weekend.

*Phil posts a quickie after watching a taped episode of "FAME"*

So some of you have asked me about when certain reality TV shows are on... so I decided to just do a rundown of when things are on (roughly).... I'll probably do a quick synopsis while I"m at it for those I'm interested in...

Road Rules: Pacific Rim? MTV 10pm Mondays
- Ok this show has gotten way too creepy.. I think the producers want them dead b/c they've already so far buried them alive and poisoned them.... seeing a pattern??? apparently there are two ppl going to get booted.. my vote goes for fat albert and uh.. I don't care about the 2nd one.. fat albert just gotta go...

For Love or Money NBC 9pm Mondays
- Ok this show is really sad.. 15 girls try to win a guy and basically if they are the girl he chooses they have the option of the million dollars or him... so anyway this guy makes joe millionaire look like a real catch.. this guy can't speak, finish sentence and makes no sense... He tells one girl.. "I didn't think you can be mesmorized" and then goes on to eliminate her... then he tells another one... "I haven't really talked to you or made a connection... but I think there's something there" and keeps her.. go figure... anyway next week seems to be exciting b/c it's down to 4 girls. and this time the tables are turned b/c he finds out about the million dollar scheme... oh well.. I have no favorites on this one.. the girls are all gold-diggers or just plain idiots..

Surf Girls MTV 1030pm Mondays
Ok I totally watch this show just b/c these girls are so catty... it's so funny.. they don't even show them really surfing and the whole point is to see who's the best surfer.. in any case... my favorites are pula and Jen and I could care less about Heidi, Jenna, and Vivienne... I just want to see hair-pulling or something....

America's Top Model - UPN 9pm Tuesdays
- OK I have to admit I started liking this show.. They actually do things that models (do like photo shoots, interviews, poses, commercials).. all the girls are really pretty... Tyra Banks is hot and is the host.... They're down to 5 girls, Elyse (the shit-talker anorexic- but probably the best model in the group), Keese (the tyra-banks look-a-like but is totally down to earth), Adrianne (the raspy talking, pretty cute girl, who loves her mom), Robyn (the black chick who is against homosexuality and puts religion and herself on a pedestal.. but she's just old and fat.. needs to go asap), Shannon (the blonde chick, who's also against homosexuality and a religious nut- needs to go... almost as much as Robin)

Real World- Paris MTV 10pm Tuesday
- Now I"m really only going to watch this show b/c it is in Paris... I don't find any of these characters as fascinating.. maybe I just need to watch it more to like it.. but they are just drama... anyway so far some girl bit a guy's but, and another girl lost her wallet a club b/c she was too drunk off her ass.... and some guy is girl-crazy but keeps getting rejected... maybe it's b/c he ain't cute... )....

Fame - NBC 8pm-10pm Wednesday
- OK this will suffice while American Idol 3 is in the works... I actually like this show b/c it actually does dancing and singing... so they have to be multi-talented (otherwise ppl like Carmen and Julia from American Idol 2 probably wouldn't have ever made it)..... anyway they have 12 ppl and are now cutting down to 10... .there are 3 asians people, 3 black ppl in the top 12.. which is a first.. I've never seen so many minorities in the final 12.... woohoo... my personal favorites are Monica (the black girl who can sing and dance), Christina (cuz she's filipina and you don't see many filipinos on TV, so savor it while it lasts), and Harlemm (the asian guy who is 36 but looks like he's 16).. Tune in next week to see who gets eliminated...

Paradise Hotel 9pm Fox Wednesday
-The only reason to watch this show - hot girls and guys... and they hook up... or at least that's what we think.... Otherwise if you ain't interested in looking at bodies.. change the channel..

and last but certainly not least
AMAZING RACE 8pm CBS Thursday
- This show is so awesome... cunning, wits, travelling, and elimination... all the stuff I love about reality TV... it's so suspenful and so pact with action you just can't miss a minute of this show...two people related to each some way (friends, married, significant others) compete and go all around the world for a chance at a million dollars.. so far 3 out of the 13 original teams have been eliminated.. It is definitely not too late to watch this show.. the fun has just begun.. currently they are in austria if anyone wanted to know..

honorable mentions
Last Comic Standing - NBC Tuesday 8pm???
- don't watch it... not interesting to me...
Boarding House - WB Wednesday 9pm
- same as above...

Ok that's my reality recap for the month.. tune in next month for more.. =) (or maybe even sooner)...

PHIL
p.s Regan I never knew you wanted to go to a giants game.. I will be contacting you later in the season...first thing =)
Tiff, I need you to wear that skirt from first day of class someday... then I can start really calling you spiffy tiffy....

Ok all where are the rest of you? are you reading but just too lazy to post??? ok.. I forgive ya!

Tuesday 6.17.03
9:46 PM
South City
Listening to: "Magic Stick" by Lil Kim & 50 Cent

So I've decided to emerge out of the cave I call my room and get some fresh air and say hi to all those in bloggieland. How's life people? I was sad that I missed yet another get together, this time for Alan's birthday. I need to get my drink on with yall soon cause I sure miss those days.

I've found, in addition to the loads of crap in my room, that I must be the biggest, worst packrat in the world. You wouldn't believe the shit I've kept all these years. It makes me question my sanity when I find things like old programs from SI plays like Elephant Man and Biloxi Blues, lots and lots of Friday morning liturgy papers, backpacks from when I was in the 4th or 5th grade (complete with old pens, erasers, candy wrappers, and those plastic braided key chain things). I've also got all the books we've ever had to "read" for english class (yes I've also got the cliffs notes for most of those books), and then there's the pile of butt ugly clothes. Green jeans? Oh my god, why did I ever decide to wear green jeans!?!!

So if any of you ever feel like going down memory lane, stop by my house. Even though I've thrown out a whole lot of shit, I still kept the things that hold some good memories. Phil - I still got that spiffy skirt from the first day of school when we were wee little freshman. Anyone that took French - want one of my "liste de conversation" (aka, "hey, quick can i get your signature before 2nd period")?? Tiff, Ed, Michelle - you'll always have to be nice to me because I've got some great old school pictures of yall from our Holy Name days that I can scan and post at my disposal. :-) Which brings me to another idea, building on my garage sale idea - I think we should have a photo swap day. I've got tons and tons of doubles of all these old pictures that I always meant to give you guys. And I bet you guys have some too.

Anyway, the posters are still up for grabs to anyone interested. If not, I may sell or give them to Amoeba. So act now! Oh and have I been banned from an email list or something? Why have I heard nothing about the softball game?? I hear it's on July 12. Hey does that particular date, specifically in the year of 1979, happen to ring a bell to anyone? :-)

Surf girls, Real World, Road Rules, and the upcoming Boarding House are my reality TV picks as of late. Any other choice ones I've overlooked?

Back to the cave I go.

ALOHA!!!!

Tiff is back!!! Tanned and ready to wear short skirts and bare back tank tops and whisper sweet Hawaiian nothings into your ear *wink *wink ... i mean *barf *barf. Kauai is an awesome and beautiful place!!! The locals are truly priveleged in that they get to wake up in paradise every single day. Lucky locos. And they get to eat yummy food. As to be expected, we ate a lot of good local food...loco moco, all different kinds of poki, shaved ice, and anything with mac nuts in it. We went horseback riding, hiking (almost died of exhaustion and heat), ATV, and hung out at the beach. The tour guides at ATV had to give a time out card because I peeled out twice, but they let me ride the last leg of the tour....nothing cooler than having a motor between your legs =)...friskay!!! All in all, Kauai rocks!!!

*reeg, funny you mentioned that you wanna play some sports during the summer. i sent all of you an email about our annual softball game, please check your emails and RESPOND. Softball in the summer, what could be better?
*thanks to you phil i've decided not to go to vegas in july. its just too damn hot for me...102 degrees? dang, you can bake cookies in that weather.
*WELCOME HOME, tiff. garage sale sounds like a great idea. we should make into a swap, where everyone can bring do-dads, knick-knacks, and clothes to exhange with eachother. been looking to swap some of my 2 ft pants for ed's 70 ft shorts.
*thanks sylv for the grooooooovy effects on the blogs. kinda trippy

alright, i need to work now. have a great day everyone!!!

Sorry for the back to back blogs, but I just had to add this.

I'm cleaning out my room (boy do I have a whole lot of crap in my room) and I've got some stuff that's up for grabs to anyone interested. Hey here's a thought. We should all clean out our rooms and have a garage sale. Anyone up for it?

Anyway, need some posters to decorate a room? I've got the following:
-Rage Against the Machine poster (of the burning man from their cd cover)
-Lauryn Hill (poster size of the Miseducation of Lauryn Hill cd cover)
-1998 Van Warped Tour poster
-No Doubt concert poster
-Autographed Save Ferris poster
-Green Day concert poster
-Bob Marley vintage concert poster
-Madonna Drowned World Tour concert poster

And randomly, I've also got this 2000 SF Giants Yearbook lying around that I don't want anymore. If any of these catches your eye, holla back.

The 650 (damn it's good to be home)
listening to: "Rock Wit U (Awww Baby)" by Ashanti

The website's a trip. Thought I was hallucinating when I first noticed the changing colors. Much props to our blogqueen Sylv.

To anyone who's even considering going to the Christina/Justin concert: GO!! I went with Phil and Christine and it was by far one of the best concerts I've ever been to. And that says a lot because I've been to quite a few and I'd even rate this concert higher than the *NSYNC concerts I've been to (gasp!). It's well worth the money because you get two concerts for the price of one. Like a buy one, get one free type of deal, much like Regan's shoe sale (by the way Reeg, my guess is 86 pairs). I've always felt that JC was the hottest in *NSYNC, but after getting Justified at that concert, he by far takes the cake. And damn, when he dances, he takes the whole damn bakery.

Home so far has been pure and utter chaos. My cousin just had her cotillion this past Saturday and I'm still recovering. My family and I were up all night last week prepping for it, and now I thank god that I decided not to have one of these when I turned 18. Way too much work. My brother and I had to emcee, so we were basically running the show. Overall, I'd say it went well (highlight of the evening was a specially made video of my cousins, who are all boys, doing a booty-shaking version of B2K's "Bump Bump Bump"). I'm just glad I can finally get some sleep.

I just woke up to blog all that. Now I'm going back to sleep.

MY FIRST ADDITION TO "A DAILY DOSE: v2"...

Again, I would like to echo PHIL's sentiments and express our gratitude to SYLVIA for updating, maintaining and designing this site here...good ish! It's the grooviest and raddest page on the Internet book. And no people you are not delusional as yours truly (and another lurker) initially thought, the colors indeed change. I just wanted to write a blog worthy of the new modifications...

Biggest online time-waster: Friendster...Sylv knows, and fyi: do not try to log in during work hours, traffic is like the 405 on a rainy friday afternoon (LA reference, but it never rains in southern california)
Milk Carton: Jeff (and how is AK not on your list of female athletes?)
vega$ aftermath: After the math, I am in the red...at least phil and them did better
hawaii 5.0: is Lamster and Nickster back yet?
xxxtina/JT (not the bigga figga): may go to their concert....how was it phil?
kicks: Harputs had the sale of the millenium this wknd, buy a pair of Nikes get a pair free. Shoe selection was decent, so I came out with 2 pairs (anyone care to guess how many kicks I have? a free pair of socks to the person who gets closest)
flicks: haven't caught one in awhile, but i hecka wanna watch OLD SCHOOL, available on DVD now
chicks: haha fooled you! (timeless SPACEBALLS quote)
home sweet home: welcome back tiff b.
hip sweet hop: summer is supposed to be the time of major releases, so I'm keeping the faith
pictures: for those who haven't seen the rest of the pics that grace our site at the moment: A Loud Whisper
sports: summer is here, so time to stop watching sports and time to start playing...and Reeg's never been to a SFG game before at PBP...hopefully that'll change in the summer of 2K3
nostaglia: Is Ted DiBiase still a millionaire? and forget the xBox, i want this: whoa
time warp

b-daze: happy belated NICK (060103)...then there's D-RUEL (061303) and AA (061603)
they reminisce over you: this week/month marks our 10 year 8th grade graduation anniversary... MISSION DOLORES TIGERS represent

Alright yall, that's enough for the evening...good nite

one love,
reeg

PS: maybe not having comments is good, for it may encourage people to rather post (just my 2 pesos)

****memo from the blogmaster****
after 2 days of html tweaking, i resorted to starting fresh w/ a new template. i think a piece of code may have been deleted accidentally in the old blogspot.

also, i feel the vivid gradation of color allows for a more pleasant blogging experience.

SO.....PLEASE be careful when fiddling w/ the code. html is like a row of dominos: it only takes one piece to knock everything down.

also: images from imagestation cannot be posted on the blog (some privacy issue). so, email me the pics instead or use shuttefly.com

sorry homies, i'm just exhausted. work's been insane and i've been html coding for the past 4 hours.

click on the monkey for some html tips.

peace out,

the blogmaster
OOOH I LOVE THAT YOU CAN CHANGE THE FONT AND STUFF... KUDOS TO WHOEVER DID THIS (i'M ASSUMING SYLV OR REEGSTA).... !!!!

PHIL
*Phil sits after watching a taped episode of "FAME"

YAY! You can finally see more than 1 blog per page... I like the layout.. nice change... just all we need now is a pic!

Anywayz, since I haven't blogged in almost a week, I just had to share my vegas trip with Ariel, Michelle and Christine: Can I just say LUCKY? As far as what we did that weekend,

On friday, we ended up going to old town vegas where we got to eat lots of food at a buffet place and then went to GAMBLE... we saw an open crap table with no one there so we went up to them and asked them to teach us.... there we stayed for like 5 hours.. playing $2 craps... ooh so much fun.. and can I say Christine was the lucky lady... she rolled like over 20 times... and people started donating.. literally donating money to her and better on her behalf... talk about incentives and luck.. she was the lucky one that day...

On saturday, we shopped countless hours at Primm Valley going buckwild at all the outlets... (Christine was the big shopper with over 3 bags of clothes/accessories).... then we went on a casino/rollercoaster place nearby and that was so much fun... I rode on a wanna be drop zone all by myself (since none of the other 3 wanted to ride with me).... and then we rode the rollercoaster that emcompassed the casino.. talk about some scary ride.. it literally had a vertical drop that was one of the steepest I've ever ridden on... we also got free tickets to ride the rollercoaster at NY NY but we ran out of time....

On Saturday night, We also went to RA at Luxor... Now b/c the clubs' wall our made out of stone... the room was actually nice and cool (compated to the 102 degrees outside everyday)... the music was good except for one thing: THE DJ... he basically said something every 10 seconds and ruined our rhythm... it was hideous.. he'd go.. where my asian at? where are my la people? where are my san diego people? where are my arizona people??/ I was like when are you going to shut the F*cK up.... but anyway... it turned into trance which in turn got us a reason to leave... overall a good experience for me considering this was my first la club..

On Sunday, we went out to the pool and got tanned (well the other three tried to get tanned, I just got darker).... It was so hot, I stayed in the pool the whole time.. my fingers were literally prunes... later that day, we got massages/facials over at the Luxor Spa... First time again for me... it felt so good... I didn't realize how relaxing and refreshing it can be....

On sunday night, We also got to watch "O" at the bellagio... 2nd row center!! Now, they said the tickets were wet seats... little did we know that we'd get splashed on by the performers.. (not doused but just enough to be wet the entire night)....I must say O is one hella of a show.. this tops all other Cirque shows I've seen (varekai, dralion, and mystere). Everything is in water and they do some crazy diving stunt in that small stage.. it's simply breathtaking...

Monday was get out of bed and ready for home..after a very eventful weekend, I was about to checkout when the unexpected happen.. The hotel had comped 2 of the 3 nights!!! Instead of paying over 200 for the weekend we paid 60!!! Now w/ four people you do the math and you know what it equals: cheap!

Ok that's enough for me now.. I"m all vegased out...

PHIL THE GAMBLER
On Monday
Sorry for the major facelift......
Is this thing working?
WANTED: someone with sufficient blog expertise to restore this site.
this blog is all jacked up. how do we get back to the old ways, when blogging was simple and you could view numerous blogs at a time (back when there were actually numerous blogs to read at a time, that is). can i get a witness?
testing, testing....

SOUTH CITY!

HOW SWEET IT IS TO BE HOME SWEET HOME.
Here I am, back from my six-year long vacation in Davis to rekindle old friendships and start new ones. How the hell are yall doing out there folks? I feel like I'm starting anew. The sun is out, the birds are singing, and my fat dog is snoring right behind me. Ahhh, there's just no place like home.

So whoever said that trying to move all your shit when you have a terrible hangover is easy is actually quite mistaken. After a long night of partying with some of my closest Davis pals on Friday night, I woke up the next morning at 6:30 AM wanting to trade my body in for a sober person's one. Just for the day. Just until the headache and nausea and tired off my ass feeling went away. My room was filled with crap, but none of that crap was in moving boxes just yet. My slacker ass barely packed a single thing and now I was paying the price. But was it all worth the night of heavy duty partying like there's no tomorrow? Hell yeah.

The future is uncertain, but my fingers are primed and ready to type the new adventures that are bound to come my way. I just hope those adventures come without the alcohol because I just don't know how much more my liver can endure.

Here's hoping to see all your fine asses soon,
~Taft
P.S. What's with the one big picture (with only four members of the 3rd floor shown, by the way) taking up all the space, allowing only one blog to be seen per page?

Do Miracles Really Happen???

Apparently they did tonight as the giants came from behind (2 outs in 11 innnings) to beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 4-3.... I'm bitter... why am I bitter??? I was actually at this game and if you had seen any of the highlights or plays, you would have seen that the Giants had literally given the game away so many times.... in the 9th, in the 10th and the 11th.. It was too much to take... Ariel and I left our seats (which were in club level and literally 5 seats away from a foul ball catch) and went home tired and frustrated... I swear these live baseball games really take a lot of emotion... In any case, I find myself sitting in the car listening to the giants give up a run to none other than ex-giant Matt Williams. I turn off my radio in disbelief.. THANK GOD I LEFT.... WRONG.... I decide to listen 10 minutes later... and wouldnt' u know it.. they come from behind with 2 on and 2 out and score 2 runs.... oh my 2 much excitement..... anyway just had to share that...

On other notes.. thx again Regan for such a great soiree over at Whisper... after maybe an hour of listening to trombones and trumpets and drums blasting in our ears.. they finally started to play club music... nice diverse crowd.. (though I think our group supplied the asian mix)... $5 cover (that sure beats the $10 or $15 I thought it would be since it's memorial day)..... Regan you must show some of those pictures... especially the "freak trains" with v-may and all the girls..those are the best!.... We must have another one soon... let us know how vegas goes... does Val win big in paigow??? does Regan play great bets on sports???

alrighty let's see what else... hmmm..
TIff L - I hear your burnt from this weekend? where'd ya go and why in the hell did you only use SPF 15 and think that was enough for 6 hours in the sun???

Nick - I am very impressed how you can keep your blogs so short and to the point... obviously I'm the opposite.

Tiff B - So how'd your fresno excursion with Mona go?? anything exciting for us to know about or visit there??

Sylvia - So where do you go running?? are you planning on doing another marathon

Jefe - I hope you were going to publish your blog.. you just posted it... thank god.. I blogged... =) btw... us dark ppl get darker and burnt..are those just both terrible.... the sun is really not our friend...

Ed - Did you say you work now for amex??? I would get one but I'd never use it b/c I need all the points on my target visa =)

Ok I think I'm out for now.... Off to vegas with Ariel, michelle, and christine this weekend.. will let you know how it all turns out =)

PHIL
TIDBITS

For all of you with significant others, Beach Blanket Babylon (BBB or B cubed) is a must see! It's such a fun show! Can't tell you too much without spoiling it! Nick, Tiff L, Julie, and Me (we are all significant to each other cuz we all single) went on Friday night and laughed and laughed and laughed. Afterwards we went to Calzone's and had a scrumptious dinner. The bruschetta is magnifique! Bowling was a great nightcap! So, for all you couples out there, catch the show and make it a little date in the hoppin' North Beach section of town...it's well worth the dinero.

Tiff L, Nick, and I played softball for 6 straight hours. Actually, Nick and I watched for 5 hours since our team lost. Tiff, on the other hand, played three straight games....can we say all-star? Anyways, I'm burnt like toast today. My face and the back of my neck are killing me today. And I thought filipino people just got dark and not burnt?

I can actually say I fell in love this weekend. It finally has happened. I fell in love with lacrosse! Did you know that a zone transition can take a team out of its passing game? Did you know that a zone with the short sticks near the pipes can be so effective? Did you know that a player curling around net can set up another player backdooring the extended defense? Do you know how awesome a behind the back pass can look? Did you know how important it was to get it on net with a man down? TAFT...I am a convert! Hook me up with sticks and we can toss.

Being that the temps are creeping up, I've decided to make this blog that much more HOTTER. So here it is, without further ado, here is my list of the HOTTEST WOMEN in sports:
1. Jennie Finch (softball pitcher) - WAY HOT and the landslide winner in my opinion. She my new girlfriend!
http://espn.go.com/page2/s/hottest/female/finals.html
2. Brittany Jackson (Univ. of Tennessee shooting guard) - WAY CUTE!
3. Logan Tom (Stanford volleyball player) - There always needs to be a volleyball player in the hottest female athlete category!
4. Lindsay Yamasaki (pro basketball player via Stanford) - MIXED or maybe not, but she still on my list.

Fellas, feel free to chime in. Hey, Ed, where are all the Berkeley hotties....I got two stanford ones on my list?

Jefe
hey hey hey......

is someone gonna post pics from princess vmay's birthday extravaganza??? please do....i'm sure we all want to see how drunk we REALLY were (since most thought they were sober.....UH-HUH.......SURE)

Hey yall,

Hope to see most of u come out 2morrow nite...it'll be fun! I tried doing a guest list thang but didn't have the proper connects or what not...so I think we need to kick down a cover...but since we're working folk anyways, that shouldn't be a problem. Especially if Tiff B isn't there, there should be enough alcohol to go around. Too bad Tiff L won't be there either, since we would need someone to bartend =).

RANDOMNESS:

- Ed, Detroit was technically never in the lottery...so you lose.
- I admit, its pretty fun watching Sex in the City, season 4 came out this week!
- Hopefully we'll have a new home picture after the wknd is over
- Tiff L, I never opened that picture u linked in ur blog...u didn't make it sound so appealing
- Got my refund back WOO HOO!
- Jeff got a new pitching machine...but anyone knows of a tent-pitching machine, do tell
- Must pick new driving range date, since Tiff L robbed NN from me
- Ed, hope my answers to you ?s contributed to your recent hire
- V-may broke my Stephon Marbury bobblehead doll...the weekend is ruined before it even started
- Where the archives go?
- So is The Matrix Reloaded good or not?
- If you haven't already, go to your nearest browser and sign up for FRIENDSTER...It's pretty weird, because I'm connected to people in my family
- Sylv...it seems like there's always markdowns and sales at BR...right? And I wanted these shoes, called PEYTON (i think)...so if can track em down in a 10 I'd greatly appreciate it
- Will Lebron have as good a rookie campaign as AMARE?
- Tony Parker > Gilbert Arenas
- Annika = journeyman PGA tour player
- Anyone wanna watch MUSIQ SOULCHILD at the FILLMORE? $30 on June 6 I believe.
- Help me fall back in love with HIP-HOP...I've tried listening to more of her older stuff to rekindle that passion, but I'm not feeling her right now.
- good nite =)

one love,
ReeGaDeeg (help me out on a new nickname yall)

EdmundCPan: Matrix Reloaded was awesome (i think this blog covers pocket dictionary Yz-Zd)

MichelleMASYuson: when can i get some of that SARS u're bring home?
Good morning peeps! How’s everyone doing this fine day? There’s been much blogtivity this week. Good to know I’m not the only one avoiding work.
As it gets warmer and warmer, I’m having a hard time concentrating on work. I need to find a country that only works during the fall and winter.

Anyways, I wish I could say that I had a good ole drunken time at B2B or that I ran it in a little over an hour (congrats SYLV…you rock!!!) but I can’t. I had a good time, don’t get me wrong, my experience wasn’t as eventful or confusing as TAFT and not as productive as Sylv’s. Nonetheless, I had a good time luggin a 9 foot brick around SF. I had to wake up at 5:30 in the morning so I could take the bus to the starting line so my volunteer group could assemble our brick. I actually didn’t really help with the assembling, my sole responsibility was to guard the keg from all the hobos who were looking to get their morning buzz (like TAFT…j/k). Since it was my first B2B, I wanted to see some naked people. My friends and I were on a mission to look for them but there weren’t too many around. We had to walk about 5 miles before we saw any naked butts. And this is what we saw … WARNING!!!! UPCHUCK REACTION HIGHLY POSSIBLE!!!!
http://www.onebrick.org/2003gallery/show.asp?Index=135&Folder=05-18-03_-_Bay_to_Breakers&start=121

Do you know how hard it was to maneuver a brick around those guys? I think we were stuck behind them for about ½ an hour. Yeah I wanted to see naked people, but I wanted to see nice looking naked people. The naked people were old and flubbery and full of cottage cheese. ICKY!!! But mission accomplished. We should all do this next year!!!

I am goin to organize our annual softball game this year. Does June 21 or 28th sound good to people? I will make breakfast again! OR we can have a BBQ after! Please let me know which date works for you.

Shout Outs

V-may: sorry but I won’t be able to attend what I know will be a puke-fest for everyone. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! Tell reeg to buy a shot for you from me =)

Reeg: take care of v-may and yourself for that matter.

Phil-me-in? so who won on American idol?

Jefelicious: can’t wait to see ur pitching machine!!!!

Ecp: matrix does suck. And I don’t I think will ever want to cook after next week. Thanks for ruining my life =)

Alright, I’m outty 5000.

Wow 3 blogs of substance (well 2.5, since this one below me) within 15 minutes! There's that 3FC telepathy...my 3 pix:

1. New York
2. Cleveland
3. Memphis

Screw that, this is officially the CHRIS BOSH lottery.

will post more later...
reeg
Lotto Fever
Well, 1 day and counting until the Carmelo Anthony Sweepstakes begins. Who will land Melo? And who will have to settle for Lebron? Yup, the NBA Lottery is tomorrow. To make it more interesting, let's make it a true lottery...no expertise needed. I propose we all put in $7 and pick our top 3 teams...i guess, this my form of online gambling. We pick the top three teams and each correct pick is worth a point (so max points is 3 and minimum is 0). If a tie occurs, then the order you put is the tie-breaker. The more exact order is the winner. If there is still a tie, then no one wins, and this was a pure waste of time. Actually, this is a pure waste of time, if no one but me does it. So, knowing how some of us like gambling, then some of you should try...even if you don't like the NBA.
There are a total of 1000 ping pong balls with the worst teams getting more balls. So, the following is the order of the worst teams and the amount of ping pong balls they have. Denver (225), Cleveland (225), Toronto (157), Miami (120), Clippers (89), Memphis (64), Chicago (44), Atlanta (29), NY (15), Wash (14), GS (7), Seattle (6), Houston (5). So, since the first ball out is given the #1 pick, both Den and Cleve have 22.5% chances of getting that pick. If you want, more %s...go to nba.com and click on draft lottery.
So without further ado, here are my top three (in order):
1. Miami
2. Chicago
3. Clippers
Yup, there it is!

You all have til 4:45 pm tomorrow....the lottery starts at 5pm. You can catch it on ABC.

BTW: who wants to play in a softball tournament on MON. (11am-3pm Presidio) for an aids charity fundraiser. It's $100 per team...we must field at least 10 players. Let me know.

Jefe
Hey, Blogville, sorry I haven't been able to post in awhile but it's been a hectic month(s), so I present.......

The Bizarro un-Top Ten List

Gugol. Ala Jefe Luna-bar, I have given notice at Presenting Solutions Inc (that's the co. I work for currently...it's ok, I forget sometimes too). My final day in my office will be May 29th, when they kick me out the door after realizing that I let my dog chew on everything.

B-22. Yahtzee! Glad to see Taft is finally putting together the first edition in her personal rendition to War and Peace. If we added all of Taft's blogs and put them into books, all the world's rainforests would be decimated. On the other hand, if we added all of Nick's blogs together, we'd have The Pocket Dictionary, Letters Za-Zc. (excerpt:"Nick happy, bowl good. Yay A's")

7. The other day my dog started humping some girl's leg and the girl couldn't stop laughing. And I thought, wow, my dog and I connect on so many levels and share so many experiences.

UB40. I'm sorry Phil, but i haven't watched any t.v. except for sporting events and ESPN. Therefore I am exepmt from making any American Idol comments.

$$$. I've accepted an offer to become a corporate bitch at American Express. The official term is Financial Advisor, but that's just a front. When I begin to build my client base, I'll be sure to come to you guys. Then you'll be sorry I posted because I KNOW WHERE YOU ARE.

2+2=Bingo!<b> I will also be forced to officially quit my current posts at Holy Name (though they don't know it yet) and St. Ignatius (as water polo coach) and will therefore lose my membership to the Jamaican-i-got-tree-jobs-you-lazy-bastard Club (see: In Living Color).

RIP. I saw the Kings lose game 7 while I was sitting in a Sacramento sports bar. I haven't seen so many white men cry since they canceled Cheers, and I now know how a black guy would feel at a Metallica concert....just lay looooow and don't sing along.

Bobble Bobble. I have a month off before I begin at AmEx. I'm planning a short trip to VEGAS BABY, VEGAS (see: Swingers). Any interested party goers are invited except Val. I don't wanna feel all low roller when I'm sweating out $5 and she's laying down a $G like it's monopoly money.

XXCCMIXCVII. Where do I get some SARS? I hear it's the "in" thing.

Fin. Taft. A whole day in the Sunset and you didn't visit me? Fine be like that. I'll let you slide this time cuz the Duke joke in your blog was top flight(Yes, i actually read the whole thing. No SARS yet, but yes on the shits, but that could be the bean with extra bean burrito I just ate).

Now to do the gentlemanly thing and mention everyone in Blogville with random thoughts....
Reeg- man down. go on without me.
Sylv- size 11.5 or 44 in european sizes.
Taft- i don't wear any underwear.
Nick- are you happy to see my dog or is that a bowling pin in your shorts.
Jeff- strike one, strike two, screw pitching machines. i say we just buy troy hudson to pitch.
Phil- if i were on american idle i'd sing the theme song to american idle.
Tiff- Matrix sucked. i'm free for you to cater for me tomorrow. i'm not allergic to any foods.
Dan- blog bitch.

Regards,
Edmund C. Pan

*applauds taft's alchohol extravaganza*
ahhh TAFT....reading your blog reminds me of the mayhem of G2...and the liver I have to prove it! Maybe you were one of the rowdy folk that flug a tortilla @ me while I ran the B2B like goddamn PREFONTAINE......

I wish I had the luxury of early morning inebriation along the streets of my beloved city. Sadly, I was registered to race with KENYA @ 8am.....while miss kenya finished in 39minutes....i trailes 25 minutes later, making my total B2B time 1:05:37 Not bad for 7.5 miles! I was able to shave a good 10 minutes off last year's time....

i just ate too much eggplant, spinach and mushrooms.....i had a whole plate of it for $2.50 from the good ol' Gap cafe....a Cafe 3 floors below you is EVIL, I say. I could order a stuffed thanksgiving turkey for lunch and they'd probably make it for me. After bringing my lunch from home (mac&cheese)...I was STILL hungry! with everyone passing my cube with their burgers and tacos and pizzas, I could have eaten 7 meals and still feel hungry. so, to feel as guilt free as possible, I ordered these grilled veggies.....but they gave me too much! so now i feel bloated and want to fall asleep......

Congratulations NAST on your all-time bowling score. Remember when you, me, michelle, den and dan used to bowl every day? I think my all time highest is 198.....

I, too went bowling this weekend....friday to be exact. Rather than going for POINTS, I opted for HOURS......yes, I succeeded in marathon bowling for 5 hours.....and I felt sore in joints that I had never felt before......HIGH SCORE for the night: 125

I hope all you ruben lovers showed your lovin by voting last night...and don't give me the excuse that it was busy....BAH! dedicated ruben fans would have kept calling.....I had the luxury of the at&t idols text messaging, so voted 25 times! my roommate, tho, chose to vote for clay 5 times.....hmmmm. anyhoo, we'll see who it'll be tonight! i'm, so excited...but i probably won't cry this time (b/c i don't think these fellas will cry like kelly clarkson did)

so v-may's birthday, huh? i'm scared. i'm scared because on v-may's b-day she shoves you a shot of vodka every 2 minutes and sh*t talks to you in tagalog.....then she proceeds to take body shots @ your house and pass out for 3 hours on your bathroom floor while her loving BF and good friend try and bring her back to conciousness. get your livers ready everyone....what a night of debauchery this will be.....I'm going to wear a pail around my neck...what about you?

OK, so i sent some of you (i still don't have an updated list of everyone's emails!) this thing called FRIENDSTER....check it out....it's really bizarre. talk about six degrees of separation, this site lets you connect with a whole network of people who know somebody who knows somebody and so on.....ONE RANDOM EXAMPLE: I invited doyouphilme, and his sister is also on there, and she happens to be longtime friends with my great great big sis in my sorority, who is also the next door neighbor to my pledge sister/good friend aimee! so check it out...

That's all for now, folks! back to the land of shoes...

P.S: BR just took a bunch of stuff on SALE today....go shopping people!

ciao,
syl

A Tale of Two Cities
By Tiffany Grace Basilio

Main characters: Taft, UC Davis Lacrosse, and the fine people of San Francisco
Setting: Davis and San Francisco
Year: 2003

Day 3 (Sunday 5.18.03)
8:30 PM: Enter Taft as she arrives back home in Davis, exhausted after what seemed like the longest three days of her life. When you've been awake since 6:45 that morning from having participated in your first Bay to Breakers, you can?t help but feel like you can pass out and sleep for days.Flashback to Day 1 (Friday 5.16.03)

Friday flew by in a blur as I took care of last minute preparations for the team banquet that night. After a scrumptious dinner provided by the fine chefs of Buca de Beppo, the team and I headed back to Davis to hand out awards and such. Small details and inside jokes aside, the banquet itself concluded on a sappy note as the team surprised me with the best gift a former player turned coach could ask for ? my very own superduper-size beer mug, specially engraved with the quote "Even a mug this size doesn't allow me to drink with as much heart, effort and skill as I coach with." Insert teary eyes here. Can there be a better way to transition into the afterparty? I didn't think so either.

So what I can actually conjure up from that night are the following blurbs: at one point during the night, one of my guy friends had me hoisted upside down for all to see the lovely undies that I was sporting under my dress.....I made lots of rookies take lots of shots, especially the girl who went to our archrival SH and constantly badgered me all season by calling me out as a cherry (she took a shot for every time she said cherry that night).....I found out the love of my life (who's actually this cute and super nice guy from my Spanish class) is moving away to Huntington Beach. What a bummer.....got in a yelling match with some guy over the damn lakers, then schooled a bunch of other guys on my knowledge of college basketball. It pays to have ESPN-loving guy pals, like most of you fine bloggers out there, to teach you a thing or two about sports.....hey go read that quote from the mug again. Now go have three superduper-size mugs of beer and read it again. It will start to look something like "Even mugs with hearts can't coach" or various assortments of that phrase. Note to self: don"t drink and read..... I woke up the next morning in my bed at home with my dress and shoes still on. Fade into Day 2 (Saturday 5.17.03).

And boy did I suffer that morning. It takes me a whole day to recover from a night of heavy drinking, rendering me completely incapable of making any quick-thinking decisions, like say taking a last minute trip to San Francisco for the Bay to Breakers. The very thought of running in the condition I was in brought pains to my stomach as I visualized what the contents of last night's food and booze intake would look like in its upchucked form (heed the parental advisory now, if you will). Despite my unwillingness to participate in this or any activity other than sleeping, I still managed to find myself packing my things and jumping into my roommate's San Francisco-bound car. Ok fine, maybe come race time my upchuck reflex will have subsided, I thought to myself.

So you're probably wondering where we planned to crash for the weekend. My thought exactly. My friend knew some fellas who lived on 6th and Judah, so we ended up on their stoop. But no one was home. So what would any other girl in such a situation do? Why take the Cosmo quiz of course! Just as we were about to determine if I was a gal who was "ready to settle down" (aka get married) or not, the resident of the house arrived and we were finally allowed inside. FYI, Cosmo deemed me a "commitment-friendly chick."

I spent the rest of the day wandering about the sunset (check out Wishbone on Irving which carries the trendiest little odds and ends. Think mini urban outfitters, but without all the clothes). I must say it was really weird being in that area without you guys. I couldn't help but think of you all the whole time (insert sympathetic awwww's here). Must have been because there were a lot of cracked-out homeless beggars and old-ass Asian people around. Ohhh yes, nothing says 3rd floor crew like some dirty hobos. :-) Later that night, more people poured into the house to crash for the next day's race. So what does everyone decide is the best way to spend the night before a 7 and a half mile race? Why drink of course. Off we went to the corner store to purchase forties from some crazy Russian lady. Luckily we were all too tired to get wasted that night. Plus the realization that we actually had to get up at 6:45 the next morning loomed over our heads long enough to prevent us from taking another sip of beer. Lights out. Enter Day 3 (Sunday 5.18.03).

I am not a morning person. 6:45 came around too quickly and I was awakened by someone in the house yelling "good morning sunshine" in as cheery and obnoxious a voice as you can get at that hour. I wanted to throw my pillow (or something much much larger) at her and crawl back to bed. So we all got our stuff together, vodka-filled waterbottles included, and walked down the street to catch the N Judah which would take us to the Embarcadero for the start of the race. Once we hit the streets of downtown, all hell broke loose.

So what's funnier than a naked man jumping on a trampoline? Absolutely nothing! That basically sums up the Bay to Breakers experience doesn't it? So obviously the race didn't blast off to a staggering start because we were surrounded by fellow boozers (and I don't mean former Duke-y Carlos and his family. Ha! My first sports quip, albeit I sound like Jeff, but whatever). Tortillas flew through the air like Frisbees, chants ensued around the guys doing keg stands, and here I am taking a shot out of my vodka-infused water bottle with a cop no less than 50 feet away. Only in San Franciso. Only Bay to Breakers.

By Fell St, I was hammered. So were all my new pals. Thank god they knew people who lived on Fell so I could take a potty break in a real bathroom. I recall a flock of elvis's sitting and hanging out with us at one point, but I could be wrong. Anyway, once we got into the park, more hell broke loose as I lost the group. Thankfully, I still had my friend Ali (who was the evil genius that got me into all this mess in the first place) but she was just as smashed and confused as I was. So we ran back to see where we lost them. Nowhere in sight. Maybe they went up ahead of us. So we ran, yes ran, up further to see if they were there. No such luck. So we ran s'more and as we sped past Mr. Personality rejects, carts with kegs, women in wedding gowns and naked painted men, others around us cheered us on thinking that we were actually racing or something. Fools. "I'm as drunk as you are!" I yelled back. It was useless, we weren't gonna find the people we knew in this sea of madness. Because of all that running, the buzz was starting to wear off, so we decided it was time to refill and mooch off someone's keg. Seeing as how we were nearing the end of the race, most kegs were tapped. But suddenly, out of the blue, this magic cart pushed by the SF men's rugby team pulled up and we scored some Sierra Nevada. But get this - the guy pushing the cart ended up being the brother of none other than Brendan O'Brien, the Santa Clara lacrosse team's coach! How crazy is that. A couple of quick chugs and an empty cup later, we were off running again. Next thing I knew, I was at the beach with the finish line in sight. After another quick bathroom break, I made a final dash to the finish where the clock read 5:00:06 as I crossed. That's read 5 hours, 0 minutes and 6 seconds. Not bad for a drunken first timer, eh? I heard the winner finished in like 15 minutes or something. Damn those Kenyans are fast. From there we went to some Thai place, which was actually having its grand opening that day, and rewarded myself with some good 'ol pad thai. Took the N Judah back to the house, crashed on the couch for a bit, and then we were back in the car to return to Davis.

The End.

So what have we learned from the main character's adventure, kids? Drink in moderation. Otherwise you'll spend the next few days exhausted and without a voice. For all you literary wits who love nothing more than some good intellectual discussion on blogiterature, feel free to post comments. The author will be available shortly for questions and autographs. Thank you.

*Phil applauds Regan for fixing the blog*

Kudos to Regan for fixing the picture he messed up originally... see I knew you could find another picture with yourself in it... as long as I"m in it.. I"m happy =P

Who would have thought a simple vote would get people's attention... woohoo.. I'm with most of you: Mr 205 needs to win and Miss Hottie Boom Bottie Kirsten needs to win... I swear I'd put money on it... =)

Jefe, I wouldn't start a career in burglaring fulltime just do it as a sidejob... or more recreationally for that matter... Jeffee.. how could you pick Jen??? You know it's all about the looks....

Sylvia - Running a marathon is like cleaning the house... it sounds nice to do it.. but you don't got the energy/motivation to actually do it... Would love to just be able to run a mile w/o stopping...

Taft - So you must take pictures of your apt party.. Do I hear a buzzed blog part deux???

Lamster - I could never play kickball b/c you could hardly ever really get a hit... I must watch you though.. I still owe you one for watching me play v-ball.. what time are your games.. and who is your team?

Reegsta - I see that ms seductive's b-day is coming up.. any bars/clubs we will be soon getting an invitation to go to celeberate her 24th???
Also, who's still in the NBA playoffs.. I'm not even watching??

Ok I gotta go.. Dentist appt in the morning.... see you all later!

PHIL
Hi, my name is Jefe, and I would like to (re)enter the world of the blog. With your permission, I would like to post the following blog:

Forecast: Bloggerstorms have been heavily reported and there's no telling when they'll stop. Being that weather forecasters are so accurate, I will make like one, and predict that these bloggerstorms will end Tuesday morning. Prove me wrong.

As some of you know, I am leaving my work and am going off to nursing school. However, after this morning, I think I might change my mind and pursue another career. So, at 6am this morning, I drop my mom off at her vanpool. I get home only to find that my front door lock is jammed and my key is not working. The damn door wouldn't unlock. So, there I stand, in my snowman pajamas (pants only) trying to turn the key for 15 minutes. I can't enter through my garage cuz it's manual and I don't have the key. Luckily my dad worked the night shift, so I gave him a call and he said he would come home. I think he was reluctant and was prolly thinking "he's such an idiot." So he gets home, and we plan out our next step. We go to the backyard and put our old dishwasher under one of our kitchen windows. He stands on top of it and takes off the screen but the window poses another obstacle. The window is one you can open but there's a pole keeping it from opening. We fine some screwdrivers in the car and we pry them under the window and manage to flick the pole away. I then jump up and through into the house to unlock the back door! So, I think I'm gonna become a burglar. How ridiculous is it that we had to break into our own house. Twenty damn minutes to break through, but for me, I was there for a damn hour! Then I had to change really quickly out of my pj's and rush to work. TGIF huh?

Anyways, I have given my notice at work and I am leaving July 11. So, if any of you know anyone interested in a PT Aide job, please pass me their info. I am taking charge in finding my replacement.

Taft/Nick: I'm glad our trip to the exploratorium was educational. I can't even remember those things and you two make it sound like it's your new language!

T-Lam: it's been studied that how far you kick is attributed to the size of one's balls. one cannot kick far if you have small balls or no balls at all. bigger balls generate the power to kick the ball far. I guess the guy's on that team had a combined number of NO BALLS. Next time, I recommend you bust their nuts for fun...being that it wouldn't make a difference in their kicking abilities.

FILL-UP: I think both should win and start the first male duo group. They'd rock-it like they were in houston! they should call themselves 205 Winks! I haven't watched the bachelor, but kristen is hot and has a fantastic body, pretty face, nice smile, etc. So with that said, I want Jen to win!

SYLV: Pilates is way tough...i try it at work and I'm way stiff. But i gots to say, the reformer and the cadillac are cool names for the machines.

REEG: so kk couldn't get into a large spread? and you like a girl like that?

FYI: New pitching machine coming soon! No more malibu! Thanks Reeg!

BTW: Joey should have ended up with Dawson and NOT Pacey!

Please keep if acceptable or delete if my re-entry to the world of blog is unacceptable.

Hey all

Nice looking picture. However, the pix is kinda old. Which means someone needs to have another PaR-TaY to make more hilarious pix of Asians with red-ass faces.

Reeg suggested that I update you peeps on kickball. We just had our 3rd game last nite and it was a doozie. We came back at the bottom of the 5th (regulation is 5 innings) to tie but to lose 5-3 in the extra innings. Considering I was a horrible team captain and forgot the beer, we all had a good time. Except of course, the other team was bunting throughout the entire game. Even the guys were p*ssies and bunted. We almost came out victorious over the pansies. DANG IT!!! Next time, we’re gonna have “REAL MEN DON’T BUNT” on our T-shirts or “SUCK ON DEEZBALLS IF U BUNT”…any other suggestions are welcomed

Bummer tiff, I won’t be able to make it to your phatty shindig. I will be at our alma mater HN cooking tons of food for an event. I’m sure I will want to get drunk after cooking and cleaning for lots and lots of people. But I will be thinking of you and awaiting another buzzed blog

I don’t watch bachelor so I cannot vote. Me likey Rueben sandwiches. Hopefully I will be watching dopey Clay on Broadway when I’m in NYC. AAAWWWWW YEEAAHHH!!!!

Another random SI sighting. Martha Shaunessy is in the kickball league as well.

Alright, that’s all folks!!! Have a nice weekend and enjoy the weekend

The other guys we hung out with that night were also '94 wildcats...but i don't remember their names...
