Hey all,
Just wanted to post a little blog of my own since I haven't blogged in about a month or so.... I haven't really been doing much ever since I got oral surgery. Yeah I had oral surgery on my gums b/c they found some type of thing growing... ok so I'll stop talking about that... In any case... I figured that the surgery would be good.. and I actually had 3 days of no work and was on sick-leave.. It was great.. I was just watching TV.. eating ice cream and soup (since that's all I could really eat) and playing games online.... Talk about living a good life... IN any case, I'm supposed to get stitches out tomorrow but my gum is still very sore.. so I don't know if theyll be able to (since the stitches lie all the way in the back.. ok I should stop talking about that b/c you guys are probably grossed out...
Anyway on to March Madness... how crazy are these games.. Now I'm not the biggest basketball fan.. but boy have I been paying attention... we need to do more of these pools online.. I love gambling.. when there's a pool, I'm usually always in.... Hey and I'm currently in 4th not too shabby for someone who hasn't watching a single college game since Georgetown was a leading contender... Kentucky all the way baby!
American Idol - I just love how this show is on.... I love Reuben, Clay, and Trenyce.. those are my top 3... I hope Kimberley C, Rickey, Josh all get the boot.. they're irritating..so is that justin guarinin look alike... can't wait for next week
The Bachelor - Wow, talk about good looking for once... and from the bay... the new bachelor, Andrew Firestone, gets to pick among 25 women (one of whom is asian and went to SI, remember courtney chan?)... Anyway be sure to watch it... I"m sure it'll entertain both sexes, with all these shower scenes...
Survivor - Love it.. I"m currently in a pool and am leading way ahead... too excited.. I"m hoping Christy, Matthew, and Butch make the final 3.... those boob girls (a.k.a heidi and Jenna) need to get off their looks and just get voted off...
Volleyball- So far our team is in 1st place. (5-1) with a game lead over 2nd (4-2).... We have 4 more games before we go to the post season. If you guys are interested in watching (sylv and michelle came for the championship), we play every tuesday night in Hayward (yes I know its far for all of you) but let me know!
Ok that's all for now... March Madness.. Reality TV.. can't handle it!!!!

South City
I'm home!! Well, not for good, only semi-permanently. Sort of. I'll be in good 'ol South City for the week on "spring break." The quotation marks are for the fact that it's not really a spring break since I am officially done with school! Hell yeah. Well....technically I still have a stupid Spanish 3 class to make up, but I'll be taking that back home, probably at Skyline or something. No biggie. But I'm finally done with all classes in Davis, to be exact. Pheeuw, what a relief it is finally saying that one. After this week, I'll be heading back up to D-town just to coach, hang out, and tidy up stuff before making the big move back home in mid-May.
As for coaching, nothing much to update since our games keep getting cancelled. The last one we played was against defending national champs Cal Poly and they gave us a big 15-1 spanking. I paid a visit to Davis High on Saturday to see their game and sad to say, the program that Karen (the other coach) and I built is going down hill. I do miss coaching those high school kids.
I have no big plans for the coming week, other than watching some sweet 16 tourney action later in the week (favorite games thus far include the cal-nc state 1st round game and arizona-zags matchup. and i just have to note that it's a trip seeing thuggish ruggish luke whitehead on tv). Gimme a call if anyone in blogland wants to do anything.
Bush sucks.
Peace,
~Taft

Guess who's back?!
After a prolonged hiatus from the world of blog, I have reentered this realm. Much admiration for the SSF connection (P-Diddy and T-Bass) for maintaining and persevering through these tumultuous times. You stuck it out like true soldiers, and for that we are grateful. Mere words cannot express our gratitude. Cameo appearances also provide this site with spark and synergy. But now the president is back, hopefully and willingly to restore order or this board.
Tiff B - good luck w/ LAX (not the airport) and finals
Tiff L - you don't prepare, you just have it (me), or you don't (dan)
Phil D - new nickname for you Ph.D, like you a doctor
Ed - the puppy isn't the chick magnet, its a 6'4" asian with dimples
Dan - its funny u address ppl here as Korean brothers when none of us are Korean
As for me, a few days mark my 4 month return from the other side of town, and its been a pretty smooth transition. Well I didn't expect it to be rough, but yall know what I mean. I've been seeing plenty famous black folks lately...last week Puna, Luna and Reegsta went to the Warriors/Dallas game (more on that later). Then that Saturday a couple of us Tacordas drove to SAC for some JORDAN SHOE tour and we saw MIKE BIBBY, and I got to pat him on his shoulder. Then that Sunday, I got Common and Talib Kweli's autograph at Tower in Stonestown. Then this weekend I'm going to the Warriors/Wizards game, which will feature the most famous black folk ever, MICHAEL JORDAN!! (Not Jackson) Suffice to say, I'm pretty excited about that.
A little story accompanies the reference to that first GSW game. Initially FraNick was coming with us to watch the game and meet us there. So while we're on the bridge, I get a phone call saying that he won't be able to make it anymore. 5 minutes later Puna gets a call from a number he doesn't recognize. He answers. "Oh...hi Ruth." Jeff and I burst out laughing in unison. Flashback to the day before, where J-Lu, Eninen and yours truly were at the driving range (more on that later). We're talking about going to that particular game, and Nick mentions that Ruth is going to the game. He knows where she's sitting and all that, but its just an afterthought after we leave. Fast forward to the ticket counter. We're stuck buying $30 tickets because the $10 tickets had sold out, in a section the OPPOSITE end of where Ruth is sitting. The game had started and we're rushing to get our seats because its midway through the 1st quarter. Going up the escalator (if cadillac makes it, it should be called an Escalader, but anyways) we make a dash towards our section. As fate would have it, we run right into Ruth, who's supposed to be sitting in the opposite side. And then we realize why Nick didn't want to come. It all made sense.
As I mentioned about the driving range, I learned something about Jeff. He puts the Luna in lunatic. But I thought I'd expose him here. I had brought my friend Bertha along. She was pretty quiet and was just standing there. I used her a couple times, but I needed variety. But I kept her close anyways. Jeff was tired of the little kids he was using and asked me about Bertha. I told him she was more like Big Bertha, and I asked if he cuold handle her, because she is much different than the smaller ones he'd been using recently. Bertha is the ultimate object of desire; everyone from hackers to professionals constantly hit it. So Jeff decides enough, I want to try it. Jeff then steps up, and starts caressing Bertha. A few smooth strokes gets her in the mood, and he starts to hit it right away! After a couple minutes of action, Jeff decides he is finished with Bertha. He then violently snaps her neck!!! He flings her head about 50 yards out, all in a heartbeat. He feels bad afterwards and offers his condolenses towards me. But I play it cool, considering there's more like Bertha just waiting to be hit. Suffice to say, she's easily replaceable, since Bertha is pretty cheap now. To be continued.

tiff is back....yes she is!
good morning all you hard working people. so how is everything going with everyone? excellante i hope!
i'm assuming taft is stressing out...finals are looming and lacrosse seems to be keeping you very busy. keep the faith! your hell is only 1 week while all the people who work are in hell every single day for the rest of our lives. yeah, something to look forward to. i was talking about office space with my co-workers. i watched it when i was in college and i thought there was no way in hell work is gonna be like that...but it is. all college seniors should watch that movie to prepare them the humdrumnes of work...it should be a required course. so the underlying theme from this babbling is enjoy your finals and school.
so in honor of all things intellectual, a couple of us are having a scrabble tournament. i've been asking people how one studies for scrabble and the unaminous answer was to read the dictionary. so i have 3 days to cram before i open a can of whoop ass on the competition. bring it (i watched "bring it on" this weekend...how freaking hilarious is that movie??!?!?!? i love it!!) come to think of it, we're 23-24 year olds playing scrabble on a saturday nite. geez, louise!
anyways, just wanted to say hi to everyone! i hope to see you all at the scrabble tourney.

OMG version 2.02 coded by Dan the Digi-doo-da-man
Koreans Unite.
It is time, my Korean brothers, to take over the world. We saw during the World Cup what a bunch of undersized, funny looking Koreans could do if given the chance. They almost defeated the world. Now, it is time to bee bim bop aww forget it I'm too tired.......
Status 03.11.03. This game thing is more taxing than initial estimations. Project has moved into sector delta-9. Does anyone know where sector delta-9 is? Cuz I don't, so if someone can point me in the right direction that'd be just great and I can get back to work.
Status Digi-Dan. Digi-Dan would formally like to submit his request to participate in kickball. I think it to be wise to add him onto your team because I recently programmed him to be able to blue ball any ball that comes his way. In addition to kickball, I have also made the following modifications to Digi-Dan:
poker playing and the ability to recite every line from Rounders
20 inch subwoofer with Bose tweets and a Pioneer amp
and his Korean has been enhanced by 10 fold
These modifications are just small steps towards making Digi-Dan as potent as me, the real Dan.
Koreans, even though they are constantly trying to take over the world, still rule,
Dan the man.

A big what's happening to the four or so people still in blogville. An update on me, myself and seven...
Puppy- He takes up about 25 hours of my day so I've got that going for me. Right now he's chewing on my chair. If he's not doing that he's a pooping, pissing machine. A dog that weights less than 20lbs. should not, through any logic, be able to produce waste which is double his mass. If he's not napping, I've got to keep my eyes on him. It's like having a kid except worse. At least you can make a kid work in a sweat shop and earn a few bucks. This dog can't even sew.
Puppy Part II- Major babe magnet though. So I highly suggest that everyone get a small cute dog.
Puppy the sequel to the sequel- If you have a dog, keep him away from my puppy. Seven doesn't really know how to play with other dogs yet but fret no more, we're currently enrolled in a dog-e-dog socialization class. Class one: slap the bitches. Class two: ass sniffing party.
So yup, that's about it. Puppy does this, puppy does that, Ed gets to watch.
Lucky me,
ECP
ps- i hope dan posts soon.

*phil posts a quickie*
Hey all,
Just wanted to say wassup to you all... I've been real busy with work (as usual) so I haven't been my usual self... I have been watching reality TV... of course... and I must comment on each of the ones I watch religiously (or at least most of it)
I'M A CELEBERITY GET ME OUT OF HERE - After 15 straight days (which was actually a bit annoying if you missed one episode)... of being in the "jungle", though I swear there a camera crew hovering over every second.... Cris Judd (yup J-Lo's ex) became King of the jungle beating out Melissa Rivers... Anyway I was happy Cris got it, b/c first he's the least famous out of the bunch.. and second he's pretty humble and considerate.. he knew how to play to America... but yeah that's about it... (unless anyone wants me to elaborate)
ARE YOU HOT? I love this show.. talk about just putting bodies on a show for no real reason but to just judge them.. I love it.. I swear I don't know why some of these people swear that they are hot.. when they aren't... and when they don't get picked, they cry... it's so funny you gotta watch it (thursday at 9pm on ABC)
SURVIVOR: THE AMAZON: I am still in love with this show... I am currently in a pool with work people and am currently in 1st! woohoo.... I've picked the first 3 bootees in a row..anyway... I don't know who's going to make the final 4.. I'm assuming it's Heidi, Butch, and two other unkown (possibly dave and alex?) I dunno we'll see..
AMERICAN IDOL: Ok now they have all 12 people... it's just amazing the choices they made. I dont know why Carmen was even picked.. she's TERRIBLE... I think Chip was jacked.. but anyway she won't make it very far... unless she's nicki mckibbin has 9 lives... anyway... my vote goes to mr. ruben and even that "dorky-looking one"... my outside bets are Charles and Kimberly Locke (the black girl not the white girl)...
V-BALL: we had our 3rd game of the season.. basically against a tough team of all tall people... we lost the first sets.. after rallying back from a 7-2 defiict to 7-7... we only stuttered and lost 15-10... 2nd set we played cleaner.. dinked, served hard.. and was able to finish off the second game 7-15... the rubber match was tough.. we trailed in the beginning by 5... we regrouped, restrategized and picked on their weakest link... and came away with a 11-15 victory... I actually got better at spiking and placing my dinks... I think I had maybe 5 kills and about 3-4 dinks... I was pretty proud of myself, not to mention I had only 1 serve hit the net... Anyway. we're now in second place (out of 6 in the league)... with a 2-1 record, next week is a double header.. .6pm and 7pm.. anyone interested in coming? let me know...
TIFFY'S GAME: great job tiff on your split game decision... I guess you can't win them all... Santa Clara seems to always be a tough opponent... anyway hope you are doing well up in aggieville...
Ok that's it for me, time for bed. g-nite!

UC DAVIS SPLITS WEEKEND GAMES
Santa Clara overtakes the Aggies in sudden death overtime, but UCD bounces back with a convincing win over UC Santa Cruz.
UC Davis opened up the new month with two WWLL league games over the weekend. On Saturday, the Ags faced the Broncos of Santa Clara University in a battle between the top two teams in the North. Both holding perfect, unbeaten records, the two teams picked up right where they left off with last year’s rivalry in what would become the closest contest within league play this year.
UC Davis came out strong to take a 3-0 lead in the opening seven minutes of the game before allowing the Broncos to finally get on the scoreboard in the 21st minute to bring the score to 3-1. The Ags would go on to punch in three additional goals before the first half’s end, but not before Santa Clara would add three more of their own to bring the score to 6-4 come halftime.
The second half proved to be even more exciting as the Broncos worked to cut the deficit and eventually tie the game at 8-8 with 13 minutes left in the game. UCD managed to take the lead again, but with every goal scored by the Ags, Santa Clara fought to come back and tie once again. With six and a half minutes left in the game, Christy Weber hit the back of the net to bring UC Davis back to their lead, but the Broncos’ Alison Kuder managed to slip by the Aggie defense and tie the game with 2:37 left on the clock. Possession jumped back and forth between the two teams for the remainder of regulation time with neither team able to get on the board, sending the game into overtime.
Six minutes of overtime played out, only to see both UC Davis and Santa Clara miss critical scoring opportunities and send the game into sudden death overtime. The team to find the back of the net first would go on to take the win and remain undefeated in league play. The Ags gained possession of the ball to open the sudden death overtime period, but an inability to convert the shot into a goal proved costly as the Broncos took possession and brought the ball to their end of the field. The fast-paced transition and quick ball movement worked to Santa Clara’s advantage as Alison Kuder once again found the net to score the game-winning goal, ending the game in a 12-11 loss for the Ags.
The next afternoon, UC Davis hit the field once again to face UC Santa Cruz. Looking to avenge the previous day’s loss, the Ags showed no signs of mercy as they scored ten goals and allowed only one in the first half of the game. The scoring assault slowed down in the second half and UC Davis went on to defeat UC Santa Cruz 13-3.
The weekend’s results bring the Ags’ WWLL league record to 3-1.
Next on the Aggie schedule is another weekend of tough competition as the team plays a non-league game against two-time defending WDIA national champions Cal Poly. UCD faced Cal Poly last year in the semi-final game of WWLL Final Four, losing to the Broncos 11-7. The Saturday match will be the last of the Aggies’ four-game homestand before they hit the road the following day to Chico for another league match. Game time for Saturday, March 8, is 11am. Sunday’s away game in Chico is set for 3pm.
